[ATC] - Multiple aircraft approaching for landing visible from a distance

:bullseye: What is your suggestion?
I’ve included a link to the relevant topic; it shows aircraft approaching for landing. Several aircraft can be seen approaching for landing. My question is, can you somehow implement this in the game? It would be ultra-realistic, and I think it would make everyone happy to experience it in the game.

:hammer_and_wrench: How would it work in the game?
It should be implemented in the game so that you can see the next aircraft approaching from a distance. I remember Unmatched Air Traffic Control had this feature where you could see the next aircraft approaching from a distance. It would be incredibly interesting to know how and if this could be implemented in Wopa as well.

:balance_scale: Why is this a good idea?
It corresponds completely to reality and at larger airports it is simply the case that several aircraft are on approach to land, especially at peak times. A good example of this is Frankfurt Airport. During the approach to land, several aircraft can usually be seen from a distance, and you can see exactly which river corridor they are coming from. It is of course also a good spotting option for the spotters among us in the game

I found a good video about it on Instagram, I would like to see it in the game too :folded_hands::folded_hands::folded_hands::folded_hands::folded_hands:

I remember that this same request with same info was my first ever post in this community relatively a long time ago. Since I was new here back then, I didn’t know what to say on which platform and I posted it in general discussion…

Apart from that, I’m highly eager for this feature

Yes, I think this feature is a dream of all of us. Currently, planes just appear out of the blue and land, which isn’t realistic at all. If we can implement it the way it is in reality, then it will be one of the best features we can get.

The game needs a pretty big revamp for this.
This isn’t UATC

I didn’t say it was uatc, I used it as an example because it had that feature. It’s certainly possible for wopa as well, but it should, of course, be even more realistic and authentic in wopa than it was in uatc. But the developers will definitely make it possible.

There is a minimum approach distance required to allow a following aircraft to safely go around if the preceding aircraft cannot vacate the runway. In our game, everything happens within a confined “box” — a limited world space — which isn’t large enough to simulate this minimum distance realistically.

Additionally, supporting such behavior would require significantly more logic. If we allowed realistic landing spacing, you wouldn’t be able to use the runway efficiently for departures — a long queue of arriving aircraft would block your planes from lining up and taking off.

Yes, it would look more realistic, but to implement this properly, we’d need a much larger world space and a complete overhaul of the logic for both arrivals and departures.

Please try to make it possible somehow. One can limit the number of arriving aircraft. If the aircraft processing time were to be the processing time in real time, the aircraft would stay at the gate longer, and thus, a landing approach of several aircraft would also be possible. One would only have to ensure that the aircraft stay at the stand and at the gate longer, and that the processing of the aircraft takes longer than the current 8 or 15 minutes. This does not correspond to reality at all.
