[ATC/UI] - Schedule Planes by Airline and Terminal Area

:bullseye: What is your suggestion?
First, the new scheduling system is incredible! Great job!

Now, my idea is to have the ability to assign specific gates or terminals to airlines.

:hammer_and_wrench: How would it work in the game?
Instead of having schedules for gates only, we could have schedules for terminals. Example:

Gate X through to gate Y are assigned to airline Z. The planes are assigned to gates on a first come, first served basis. Another possibility is to assign a number of flights to that same block of gates.

:balance_scale: Why is this a good idea?
This would allow for better gate management, and sorting planes based on real world operations. For example, Terminal 4 at LHR is home to British Airways and Iberia, and with this system, any plane from those airlines (that is the correct size) could arrive at those gates.

If anyone has any additions, feel free to let me know, and I can add them to this.

You want real scheduled airlines, but what about those that simply just their stand normally, maybe keep this version and alternative real airline schedule by terminal, so we can both ways for scheduling?

I feel it would be very possible to add a new tab, maybe called [Group Manage] or [Stand Manage], to create groups of stands and then you can manage them as the current way in the [Planner] tab.

It also benefit people when managing a lot of stands in the [Planner] tab. So when you select a group there will be only few stands to deal with, boosting the efficiency of management.

And if you don’t do any actual timetable but just assign flights to stand groups, you can be assured that ATC will always assign flights to assigned stand groups.

Then just use all four management of the tower, then it’s done randomly which what I do for all airports except Heathrow as I want the airlines at correct terminal :sweat_smile:
