Optimization of the scheduling system with added features and options.
How would it work in the game?
First off, thank you so much for the scheduling system, it’s a HUGE addition to the game, but seeing other games with similar concepts, I think we could add to the concept. This is only for AI contracts.The idea would would require changing how to acquire contracts. Instead of buying per aircraft, you buy the airline contract for a specific destination/route. Price will vary per contract type, for exmaple; Local will cost 5000 Wollars per contract, Regional will cost 10000 per contract and International will cost 20000 per contract. This is just an idea in regards, to pricing.
And then you can view the contract and buy each aircraft additionally to assign in the scheduling system. The current price per aircraft will stay the same prices. Again, this is just an idea in regards, to pricing.
Then you can go into the schedule, and assign the contract. This new schedule will also be divided by time at the top of the table. But in this case, you just assign the specific contract, to the schedule. It won’t include the grey box that indicates the airplane’s next arrival and will have a limit until 00:00. If a contract flight has been scheduled and it will arrive after 00:00, it will overlap back to the beginning of the stand it’s been assigned to.
When you click on the “i” icon, you can assign the aircraft, change flight numbers, assign extra ground time (for a fee) and switch the aircraft status from Arr/Dep or Dep/Arr.
Then you can save the schedule, you can acess on the tower manager, and if you turn on delivery, it will assign the contract flights to the stands according to the schedule. Additionally, since the stands are sectored off via terminals, There can be an option to turn on the ability to randomize the stands so even if you assigned a plane to stand 301, if you turn on Randomize stands, it will change it to another stand, i.e. 309 but only at that same terminal to the respective stand for that type.
Why is this a good idea?
This is mostly for those of us who would want to create more structure and balance at our airports, especially if we don’t use our own aircraft. I believe it will definitely enhance and improve the concept of the new scheduling system, it will also bring more realism as in real life, airlines usually assign the same aircraft for certain routes but also fly multiple frequencies with different aircraft types.
