Aviation Talking Point

Maybe in future…

Well flying British Airways (Operated by Titan) tomorrow to Verona! Oddly my first time flying from Gatwick this year and first time to Italy!

@L1ttleH2009 which one did you fly on again?

Awesome! I’d only seen Titan as a cargo contractor for Qantas during my research, so it’s cool to see they wet lease passenger aircraft as well!

Yeah! I’m pretty sure they have leased to BA and TUI recently, they also operate the UK government aircraft (the 321 and 330) also the 4 Seasons 321!

From this image post, he flew on G-POWM but I’m pretty sure it was operated by TUI Airways, I didn’t even think BA would use a Titan aircraft.

Aww alright thanks. I’m on G-POWK. Yeah BA have used Finnair DAT Titan and even Qatar on a few select days in COVID!

I flew G-POWM, but I did see G-POWK on the ground at Gatwick on the outbound flight.

Look at this delayed lineup at DFW! They have some numerous severe storms hitting right now. One runway has the elephant walk lineup, another has a cluster along 3 lanes, and then you can even see how many flights are boarded/transponding, but can’t leave the gate yet!

That congregation of planes will take off like a tidal wave and get back on track once the weather clears up…

Not quick enough to save my flight for today unfortunately. Oh well, tomorrow should be fantastic weather!

Will you fly from LHR or LGW?

Update on that first one

Like, what is going on???

Probably just a test flight after maintenance, maybe even a training flight outside of the sim. The flight number being in the 9000s is a dead give away.

Only the A321LR G-GBNI (should be an event aircraft in the game) , A330 ZZ336 is operated by RAF. Also Jet2 lease Titan A321s as well.

International Airlines Group (IAG) has announced a major order for 71 long-haul aircraft to modernize and expand its fleet across multiple carriers. The order includes 32 Boeing 787-10s, 6 Boeing 777-9s, and 6 Airbus A350-1000s for British Airways, 6 Airbus A350-900s for Iberia, and 21 Airbus A330-900neos, which will be distributed among Aer Lingus, Iberia, and LEVEL depending on operational needs.

Will be good to see A330NEOs with Aer Lingus.

Great for BA. Terminal 5 is way too small though. I wonder if they’ll move some more 777s down to Gatwick, and in the process open some new routes.

It’s likely the mix order is to be B777-200ER replacement.
