Nice going man! You’ll enjoy it! I’m almost exactly 1 year into my college+flight school program, and I’ve been loving it. You are lucky getting to fly those newer Diamonds, we are flying 40-60 year old clapped out C152s, C172, and PA44s. Don’t get me wrong I love the old Cessnas, but they are beat to death.

Some of these DAs aren’t perfect, but yeah, definetly newer, so I’m looking forward to it. Crappy thing is though is I’m going to be going out of USU’s Brigham city program, which will practically throw me right into Ogden atc, which is, as I’m told, not polite due to the constant military aircraft

Dont diss on theee ol C152 and C172, those things are absolutely roller coasters and have been my childhood lol. I do agree that they are loosing their shape a bit lol.

Oh trust me I am not dissing my beloved Cessnas, might actually be my favorite aircraft manufacturer. The ones we fly are just VERY old.

My First ever holiday was to Tenerife the plane i was on hit mega cross winds probablythe second the landing gear hit the ground and entire plane screamed my reactionwas why scream your just gonna annoy everyone else when we blow up lmfao anyway I had a window seat and could see how the tilt the plane had the wing tip was nearly touching the ground so who knows how close the engine was. Surprisingly it didn’t put me off flying.

oh man! i have felt what its like landing in crosswind landing at toronto, it was very interesting and fun haha we did land halfway down the runway but we where a CRJ550 so no issue
We was that new to flying we had no idea what was going on or why people were screaming. It was back in like 2010 or somewhere around that timezone if i remember correctly it was a A320 or somethibg like that.

I haven’t really been around too much, mainly driving through, stayed a night downtown though, it’s a nice place just have to be mindful of some dodgy areas like always, there’s lots to do (aquarium, Coke Museum, Delta Museum etc) I would recommend it, and you can see some 717s 
Also decent public transport.
