BKK - post release discussion

What do you mean by most connected?

If you mean it can connect to the most playable airports, that’s not quite true… No connections to INN or SXM. MCT and IAD are the most connected airports in the game when talking player to player contracts given that they can connect to every playable airport in game.

But I’d still agree its the best airport in the game because of the runway config and decent size.

Id say so because it provides M connections to NGO, one of the most popular early game airports and is one of the 2 connections for planes like the A332 from Sydney. It could also be argued that INN and SXM are some of the least played aiports hence the positives outweighing this

It also provides E175 connections to NGO which makes me happy

I don’t know If I’d give it a bonus just because of the M contracts to a single airport, as nice and frequently requested as this specific case was. Both IAD and MCT have a higher variety of places to send M planes, so while I’d agree that BKK vastly improves the NGO experience, it doesn’t pass MCT or IAD in terms of overall connectivity in my opinion. It’s definitely a top 3 though by that metric.

For what its worth, I’ve actually found that most people want my BKK Ms to MCT instead of NGO just because the runway config handles more planes, so I’m not really utilizing this new connectivity, so in my gameplay bubble its nice but not impactful.

BKK is one of the best airports, which flows very well. There are no bottlenecks and issues that other airports usually have. You’ll have a huge variety of contracts at the start and you’ll soon be able to enjoy a lot of planes to handle. You’ll never regret getting it as it’s also a cheap airport relative to its size.

Please don’t mind me complaining about the lack of workers. It’s down to my playstyle and fleet composition but it’s more than enough for a casual playstyle.

You can have 2 aircraft line up at the same time @Torontoplanespotter

The plane waiting for a another plane to take off and a another plane goes behind it. And the planes froze

Oh yea if the game froze then yea it is a bug! Thanks for clarifying!

I’ve had that one as well, had to restart.

Same for the one where a plane is lined up, and traffic is waiting to cross the runway and both keep waiting and got stuck. Although this hasn’t happened anymore since 2.5.1 so maybe that’s resolved.

A lot of unused space?

BKK i can agree is a very lively airport however it gets a bit slow when all your long range contracts leave and you only get like 3-4 small and medium landing, i do want to point out that this airport is a somewhat medium jet airport in my opinion of course, other people would prioritize large aircraft!

Hello, i noticed there is a lot of L planes AI contracts missing for the destinations that are close to BKK. I like to play WOA as close to reality as possible so I am just curious if anyone know if developers plan to add those contracts.

example of cotract missing: THAI AIRWAYS B77W TO HONG KONG (HKG) - it is only possible to get A320 from there. thanks in advance

Not just for passengers, but like 90% of the cargo contracts are missing as well, especially the L ones. I was gonna message the devs in an email.

I am closing this discussion so that we can move to the airport specific threads I have just created.
