This isn’t a bug report, I don’t think. However, after scheduling all my flights in the scheduled and having the Approach automatically turned on, I noticed no planes were arriving. I realized I still had to press confirm on each flight from the sidebar for them to arrive, even though they were assigned a stand already. Am I crazy or does this seem weird? If I have Approach turned on, and I have all my flights scheduled, shouldn’t they be touching down on their own without me having to go in and confirm once again?
Do you have the delivery manager turned on? That is the one that controls gate assignments.
Nope. Only Approach, Ground and Departure.
I would try turning on the delivery manager. That way, the planes are automatically cleared to the gate that is assigned to them (I think).
I can try that but I thought I saw in the beta stream over the weekend that it wasn’t necessary.
reconfirm the stand after scheduling
just click confirm on the stand, took me a while to figure it out
Do you only have to confirm once and never again?

I just started tonight maybe every roundtrip?
I hope I don’t have to confirm it every time because what’s the point of the scheduler then, it’s supposed to automate the system, not add additional steps.
I haven’t had much time to test it out yet, so my idea of the delivery manager could very well be wrong.
The other variable is if a plane needs maintenance, it’ll extend its time on that stand. So, if you have another plane scheduled to come in after it without it knowing that the plane before it ended up needing maintenance check, that could mess up the timing too I guess.
Hopefully it is just the first time as a sort of “confirm you want to do this” type of thing, then once that’s done they just roll through like that
Could/should the new Scheduling System be used to minimize taxiing time and optimize total handling time? I mean, assign F planes to always use the Gates with the shortest taxi time?
If not, the new Scheduling time main objective is….?
Don’t do that as it send waiting aircraft to random gates that you did have in schedule.
See like you I thought
it be automatic all the time, though I hope in a future update they make it automatic. Because reason I want schedule for Heathrow is to have the correct airlines at the correct terminals. I also appear to be having missing contracts that can’t land.
Have you had to confirm every round trip so far?
It looks like contracts are “missing” when you’ve scheduled them second at a gate, and the first contract is ready to land. Otherwise they are available. Remove those contracts from the scheduler and they are available.
I’ve also had the problem of missing aircraft and whilst the plane I wanted to land was the second one scheduled the gate it was assigned too was free but it still wasn’t showing up
