Earning Golden Planes

Hi all, I’m a very new player and I’m playing on iOS. I can’t seem to find anyway to earn Golden planes without buying them.

I’ve looked at past discussions which say you can earn them but they are quite old now so didn’t know whether it had changed so you have to buy them.

Also would just like to say I’m loving this game!!!

You used to be able to earn golden planes, but the devs changed it, so primarily they can only be purchased and it’s the silver planes that are earned instead.
There are sometimes competitions where you can win some golden ones, so keep a look out for those, but otherwise
Gold = purchase
Silver = earned
