General Pre-Release Discussion

Do you think Zurich will launch this month or at the end of the month, or will it still take some time, maybe until May? What do you think?

From what I’ve heard, we have no idea. It could be in 2 days, it could be November. It sounds like they are working on a bunch of other things not related to Zurich, so I would anticipate it is most likely not going to be the next update. But honestly, no one knows except the devs themselves.

I saw from Charlie that 3.5.1 is close to release, and I doubt it would be there, so definitely not the next update. It very well could be 3.6.0, but the question would be whether we would get a redesign as well as ZRH or one or the other. Honestly may prefer a redone BRI at the moment than ZRH

I suspect they will follow a Tick-Tock pattern that 1 rework then 1 new airport but that’s just a guess.

ZRH will not be included in version 3.5.1, as this update is focused on fixes only.

As for timing, it is unlikely to arrive this month. Currently, we expect ZRH around the end of May 2026, but this may still change depending on development progress.

I honestly would prefer a few updates of reworking current stuff over getting new airports and aircraft. There are a lot of airports that currently that really need reworking and updating, like PRG, IAD, NGO, SAN, as well as other airports. We also need some overhauling to the way the game functions, such as the contract system, cargo system, events, multiplayer connections, liveries, etc.

Yeah, new stuff is nice, but it would be nice to get a few older, already present things fixed first, in order to supplement the new stuff in the future.

We work on it in also, part of the team work on PRG other part is pushing on ZRH and Honza as ususal hammering the A340 and the missing B747s.

Regardless of what is in an update, I think we will all enjoy it!

I suppose the A340 is taking a little longer because of the number of liveries it has, apart from the Prague refurbishment.

i would bet that it’s also taking longer because (from what we’ve seen) the other yet-to-be-released 747 variants have been in development well before 3.4.0 (HKG), and a recent-ish teaser showed them with liveries (1/28/26), compared to the A340s which we honestly haven’t heard or seen much of

now i don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes so take this with some salt, i’m just making some of my own guesses, i still am hopeful they’ll be in 3.6 with ZRH

What about B737 remodel? Will it come before or after A340? I’m confused, because we saw B737 model, B747 classic liveries, but we havenā€˜t seen A340 model/liveries.

it will likely be added way after 3.6 (ZRH) and id say it really has a chance to feasibly appear around 3.7 at minimum, maybe 3.8 or so

i understand you’re asking for charlie’s word but i figured you would appreciate this info regardless, as it was said that the 737s would not be ready until way later in the year (think Q3-Q4)

modeling may be done or nearing completion for some variants (such as the recently shown B39M) but you also have to recognize the sheer amount of variants the 737 family has - to name some, there’s the 737-100, -200, -300, -400 (to be remodeled), -500, so on and so forth… and this isn’t even counting the MAX variants or freighters

As has been stated before by Charlie, the A340s and 747 Classics are coming before the 737s. There’s no current status on the 737 but it’s believed to be this year. I presume the A340 is in the works and will likely be revealed shortly. Give it time, have some patience. The 737 will come but the devs can’t magic it up.

Not sure if it’s at the point where it’s been decided and not wishing to be pushy but the PRG remodel, is it current irl Prague, new terminals Prague which is starting construction now, or will it be the full Prague with the 3rd runway which they’re not starting work on for a good few years?

Thanks again Charlie and tell Honza I’m very much looking forward to those 747-300s and A345/6’s. I’ll wait till December if need be haha.

if you guys don’t mind sharing as well, i’m curious to know what your plans will be for the airport remodels, i’ve noticed some here have commented on saying certain airports (NGO, SAN, MCT namely) should take priority, and given that you aren’t going exactly linear (doing PRG before BRI as an example), i think it would be nice if we heard more about your plans for this

if it’s confidential, however, or if you wish to save this information for later (such as for a devblog), then that is of course alright, and by no means do i mean to rush you guys, i just am really excited to hear about what you have planned for this year/the future
