I'm Confused!

Can someone help me understand this,

Why the planes doesn’t park straight on the line (Default Parking)? I’ve been noticing this issue for a longer time at every airport I’ve played. Any clue.

it is deliberately imperfect. In the real world, there would be a small margin of error, and this is trying to emulate that. I agree that it is probably overdone, though, as IRL pilots are substantially better at parking LOL

Automatic parking turns the nose gear too early into the ramp, causing it to not have enough room for the plane to straighten out. irl pilots would overshoot the centerline and then start turning into the ramp.

I like it as it shows some reality in some instances

Same. I must say I have OCD and that is a really pain for me, so…

If this is infuriating, y’all should see the way the concorde used to park :joy:

@Thatflyerguy 's photo
And it did this EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

With all the point of views of others, I may come up to a conclusion that devs have overdone it by a reasonable margin and they shouldn’t have :joy:

Hopefully, it will have some changes in the future :crossed_fingers:

Not sure that changing the thousands of paths in all the airports will be on top of the to-do list of the devs .

I know that’s why I only hoped for it, not demanding it.

Oh god no WHY? Why is it so angled?

Don’t worry it got fixed🙂

Both(bug fix and concorde got remodeled)

Alright! But the devs definitely made it a bit annoying… but yeah still realistic

I’ve been playing World of Airports for a little over a year now, and I don’t see any problem.
However, as with almost everything, it’s a matter of taste, or as you can see above, sometimes tedious for those with obsessive-compulsive disorder. But I don’t see any reason to get angry.
Quite the opposite, because the developers are truly doing a fantastic job; the attention to detail is palpable in every airport, in every movement I observe.
Yes, there are differences from IRL, but that’s what makes a simulation, and we should all remember that everyone experiences World of Airports in their own way and discovers many details very late in the game

This is actually an issue for some of the airports that have the turning guideline on the ground. If you turn on the tracker, you can see that at some airports with parking guidelines, the plane did not follow those guidelines but turned at an unphysical angle directly into the gate. This can actually be solved by giving a maximum turning angle and forcing the plane to turn “real“.
