Manchester Airport (MAN)
Ringway, Manchester, United Kingdom

Primary Runway is 23R/05L, measuring 10,000ft. Secondary runway is 23L/05R, measuring 10,007ft.
MAN uses a mix of dual and single runway operations based on the time of day, for example in the morning 23L is used for departures whilst 23R is used for arrivals, then 23R for departures and arrivals in the afternoon.

MAN handled 23,364,471 passengers in 2022 and 65,403 tonnes of freight across a total of 151,724 movements.

MAN is used as a base for the following airlines; Jet2, TUI Airways, easyJet, Ryanair, Virgin Atlantic and Aer Lingus UK. It also use to be a base for both Flybe and Thomas Cook.

Destinations from MAN can include the following, starting with the 10 busiest; Tenerife South, Dublin, Dubai, Alicante, Palma de Mallorca, Amsterdam, Antalya, Doha, Malaga and Paris CDG. Further destinations can also include Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Ibiza, Belfast International, Belfast City, London Heathrow, Orlando, New York JFK, Keflavik, Maderia, Faro and so on! I must also mention MAN has, or had flights to 5 of the existing in game airports, these being Washington, Innsbruck, Prague, Bari and Muscat.

MAN offers a different layout than other airports, having a number of piers across its 3 passenger terminals and numerous remote stands used for both passenger and the occasional cargo flights (with the airport formerly having numerous cargo routes from airlines such as China Airlines Cargo and Cathay Pacific Cargo, and FedEx, who operated a very short 757 service to BHX). It also offers hangar space, with Jet2 having their primary maintenance base at MAN. The airport is also very well known amongst spotters, and this can easily be replicated in game with spotting cameras at South Side, the Airport Pub and the Runway Visitor Park, which also houses a selection of aircraft including a Trident 3, Nimrod, Avro RJX100, the nose of Monarchs sole DC-10 and most importantly British Airways Concorde G-BOAC. The airport is also working on serious improvements, with the second pier recently starting construction.

  7. I think that this would be a great addition, as there isn’t much for Africa at the moment, excluding long haul. The two runways allow for faster gameplay, and with the large diversity of airlines, it would provide opportunities for some lovely screenshots.

All info was found on Flightradar 24, and I have missed some routes and airlines out, due to how many there are

7: I think that it would be great to see some more airlines from that region, as not many planes fly from there, and there aren’t too many airports near either. It would also be a great place to see some longer haul aircraft, such as A380’s with Qantas, Emirates, British Airways and more

6: To start, it would likely be small cargo planes from FedEx (C402 I think) or passenger planes like IAD. Seattle, Denver, Minneapolis, Tokyo, Chicago, Portland, Hong Kong, New York, Vancouver, Fairbanks, Memphis, Louisville, Oakland, Ontario, Shanghai, Honolulu, Miami, Taipei, Salt Lake City, Seoul, Osaka, Los Angeles, Phoenix.
7. I think this would be a good addition so that we have more than one cargo airport. The airport is usually a stopping point for lots of cargo flights, so is always busy.

7: I think this airport should be in the game because it would cover an unfilled part of the world, and there would be a lot of single airline diversity from GOL and Azul, for example, due to their many livery’s designs and colours. There would also be a lot of long haul into the airport, coming from around the globe.

Anchorage is probably my most desired airport so I’d like to add a few things to this, namely that if Ted Stevens International Airport is added, it should also feature Lake Hood Seaplane Base (LHD) in addition to the main airport. It makes sense to combine these as they are attached through Taxiway V.

For the sake of brevity, I’ll only add to the previous post.

4 - Water / Skiplane Strip Is E/W; length is 4540

5 -

Unknown

Airlines: Regal Air (Charter, base), Alaska Seaplanes (Charter, utilization)

6 - (I won’t do 20, since I propose this Is only part of an Anchorage airport addition)
Bethel Seaplane Base, Akutan Seaplane Base, Zachary Bay Seaplane Base, Alitak Seaplane Base, Excursion Inlet Seaplane Base, Tenakee Seaplane Base, Sitka Seaplane Outlet

7 - I think, while new airports are always welcome, increasing the variety of ways to play will keep us returning to airports again and again, and adding Seaplanes gives us a really unique experience with the airport. In addition, being the largest seaplane base in the world (190 flights per day), it makes sense to introduce this feature with something like this! It also gives a new feature in Charter planes, which could be a potential interesting mechanic / addition. So if the seaplanes get implemented with the airport being primarily cargo, it not only extends the cargo experience, but adds something new.

5a. Hub for Westjet and Lynx air. Focus airport for Air Canada and Flair airlines as well as flights from Sunwing, United, American Airlines, Delta, Air north, Porter airlines, and notable international flights with KLM, Eurowings discover and Edelweiss

  1. The 10 busiest routes for the airport (and therefore the 10 best starter destinations) are Vancouver, Edmonton, Toronto, Saskatoon, Kelowna, Winnipeg, Regina, Fort McMurray, Grand prarie and Victoria. After that, other interesting destinations would be Yellowknife, Whitehorse, Halifax, St. Johns, Seattle, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Frankfurt and London Heathrow.

  2. I believe this airport would be an excellent addition to the game for four main reasons.

a) Airport size and traffic volume. This is the main reason why I chose this airport over other airports in Canada. YYC is not an incredibly high traffic airport compared to IAD, where we get stuck with a lot of arrivals that we just can’t process in a reasonable amount of time. However, its also not a small airport, with multiple daily wide-body flights and the ability to handle double-decker aircraft, meaning we can still handle a large amount of wide-body aircraft. It also has a surprisingly large amount of cargo movement, with two large cargo aprons on it’s western side and scheduled wide-body freight aircraft from various operators (ex. Cathay 747F). This means it doesn’t sacrifice cargo handling for passenger handling.

b) Layout. With it’s terminal sandwiched between both main runways, YYC’s layout allows for very quick taxiing between the runways and stands. In-game, the parallel runway layout further increase this efficiency, with one acting as the arrival runway and the other as the departure runway, similar to IAD or pre-update MCT.

c) Option for new aircraft types and liverys. A few examples are the 737 classic (flown by air north), the CL-215/415 water bomber (S cargo aircraft, utilizes a new special arrival mechanic), the Boeing 767F (Amazon air, Westjet cargo), and the beechcraft 1900 (Pacific coastal airlines, Central mountain air, formerly Air Canada express, as well as charters). I would have suggested the A220 as it flies to YYC regularly with Air Canada, however the A220 was already announced earlier this month.

d) Possible new game mechanics. The most interesting mechanic YYC could introduce is special/emergency arrivals which would give a bigger reward depending on how fast they were handled (this is the idea I had for the CL-215/415). Another fun idea could be a snow plowing minigame where the player could play a minigame to clear snow off the runway before a flight lands or departs.

YYC would be similar to NGO in size, however it has the benefit of parallel runways and shorter taxi times compared to larger airports like MCT and IAD. It’s the perfect airport for players who want to play with a large airport without having to wait for long taxi times or get frustrated with single runway airports.

Added bonus is that there’s a pretty significant spotter community at the airport, with quite a few spots that give great views of traffic with the backdrop of the rocky mountains behind them.

I agree MAN would be a great addition. It could also offer a new facet to the game, with it being half way through a transformation plan, it could be the first airport on WOA that can be developed in real time, so when the second pier opens at T2, it becomes available to build in WOA. Whereas I don’t believe any of the current airports in game have had any expansions or redevelopments since being added (MCT aside as it was designed in line with the full MCT plan).

Both Passenger and Cargo Operations supported

.
This airport serves as the primary hub for Air India, Alliance Air, Fedex, Indigo and Vistara
6. Being the airport serving the capital of the nation and being huge it serves 142+ Domestic airports and international destinations in 6 continents.
But heres a list of domestic destinations you could start with : Mumbai, Bangalore, Lucknow, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune, Hyderbad, Coimbatore, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Goa etc.
.
7. So, till now we have had airports of various sizes, from INN to IAD. But now what I personally crave for is a huge airport. And we have had enough airports in Americas and Europe. Its time for somewhere else. And Delhi sits in a sweet spot between MCT and NGO [Long range narrowbodies like the A321 can also fly to european airports.]. It has four runways and more than 80 stands. And four runways ensures that the operations we will handle will be HUGE. I know it will be difficult to develop but still worth the wait. It is also among the top 10 busiest airports in Asia. This will ensure that there will be a wide variety of airlines flying here.
Yea thats what I crave for…Handling around 25 aircraft at a time, seeing all different kinds of airlines and just having fun in chaos.

Dublin airport

DUB
The main runway is runway 28L/10R which is 2.637M/8.652FT the other runway Runway 28R/10L 3.109M/10.200FT However it is restricted from 9.00 in the morning to now 23:00 at night due to noise since it is close to a town.
The airport is mainly passenger but also has a few cargo arrivals
Here is 2 maps of the airport

The airport is the main hub for Aer Lingus which is Ireland’s flag carrier. It is also the hub of one of Europe’s biggest low cost airline Ryanair. British Holiday Airline TUI also has a hub. ASL airlines has a Hub for Cargo flights to Europe. And there is a proposed hub for easyJet since they applied slots there.
Here is a list of destinations from dublin, London Heathrow,London Stansted, London Gatwick, London Luton, Manchester, Donegal ,Kerry, Shannon, Knock, Cork, Belfast, Lanzarote, Izmir, Paris CDG, Málaga, Faro, Munich, New York, Boston and Orlando

I think it is a great Airport Cause it has a lot of special arrivals like in April this year where air force 1 landed while the US President was visiting Ireland and Northern Ireland. Loads of unique aircraft land to be repainted cause there is a IAC facility here. Lots of private jets land there every day. And there is even a helicopter base for the Irish Coast Guard. Heading mainly around the north and south of Dublin. It also is an emergency stopover in case of an emergency. So I think it would be nice if it was added into the game.

7. This airport would offer a great opportunity for use of A220s, as airBaltic operates a fleet of only A220s. The airport is also growing and has seen several widebodies, including Air Force One. GetJet also operated the first A330 of the Baltic States from VNO. A new terminal is under construction and the existing departure terminal has recently been renovated.
