  • Fire in the aircraft or on the grounds
  • medical assistance supported
  • Fire brigade moves out

:bullseye: What is your Idee

I have an idea that could make the game even more exciting and realistic:
How about if unplanned events occur from time to time in the game – for example, medical emergencies on the airport grounds or fire alarms in a terminal or on an aircraft?

These events could appear as random challenges that the airport manager has to overcome. For example, you could coordinate rescue and firefighting vehicles, cordon off the affected area, or adjust the flight schedule.

This would bring more variety, realism, and dynamism to the game and could also more strongly emphasize the importance of infrastructure (e.g., fire stations, emergency services).

I believe such operations would fit perfectly into the concept of World of Airports and could represent an exciting new game element.

:hammer_and_wrench: How would it work in the game?
Medical emergencies or fires could occur as random events during ongoing airport operations, similar to delays or maintenance incidents.
β€’ A medical emergency might trigger a notification (e.g., β€œMedical Incident in Terminal 1”). The player would then be required to dispatch emergency vehicles or paramedics to the scene. Meanwhile, the affected gate or terminal might be temporarily closed until the incident is resolved.
β€’ A fire alarm could trigger the player to activate firefighting units to extinguish the fire. This would temporarily disrupt airport operations, such as blocked taxiways or delayed departures.
β€’ The speed and efficiency of the response could impact passenger satisfaction or safety statistics.
β€’ As the airport expands, players could unlock additional emergency vehicles or stations to better prepare for major incidents.

:balance_scale: Why is this a good idea?
This idea would make World of Airports even more realistic, exciting, and varied.
Real airports regularly have to respond to medical emergencies, fire alarms, or other incidents – such events are part of everyday airport operations.

This mechanic would:
β€’ Increase realism, as emergencies are part of real airport management,
β€’ Offer more depth and variety, as players must react flexibly and quickly,
β€’ Promote strategic planning (e.g., placement of fire departments or first aid stations),
β€’ Increase immersion – the player feels more like a real airport manager.

In addition, such emergencies could be rewarded for resolving them efficiently (e.g., with bonus points or increased passenger satisfaction). This creates additional motivation without disrupting the flow of the game.
