What is your suggestion?
At a lot of the bigger airports, aircraft are refuelled via pipelines which supply each stand, normally shown with a red and white hatch called a ‘Fuel Hydrant Pit’. This should be a feature of the larger airports such as LHR, IAD, HKG and others whereby smaller pumping lorries are used to pump fuel directly from the pits into the aircraft.
How would it work in the game?
A new vehicle type would be required and it would pull up as per current fuel tankers do, but instead a pipe is plugged into a pit and then another into the aircraft, with the aircraft being refuelled by that.
Why is this a good idea?
What improvement would this bring? Better usability, realism, fun factor, accessibility? It would be much more realistic as a lot of the larger airports don’t require fuel tankers at a lot of their stands. Plus it would add another vehicle type players would have to invest in for their main gates.
