What is your suggestion?
Long time ago, there was also talk about extended hangar functions or an offline or storage airport. Several posts from players also refer to this topic in the forum for a few years. At the moment we only can change liveries or settings for seat configuration at the airplane. But it would also helpful, if we could park there airplanes, planes that not in use. Another option could be a storage airport, with unlimited availability of contracts and regardless of its distance or range of the aircraft, that should be send there.
How would it work in the game?
Planes which contracts are finished could be parked for an indefinite period at our hangar. In the hangar there would also be helpful a display with informations, which number of aircraft the company’s own fleet consists of. These could be for example Passenger or cargo filter and a filter for the categories A-F(G), similar the filter options we can see, when we choose the button airplanes at the bottom, between the schedule manger and contract button. So we could find very fast the suitable aircraft, if we want to use this again for a new contract. Or it is possible to look for unlimited contracts to a storage airport, where we could send them.
Why is this a good idea?
The problem at the moment is to handle maybe severel hundred planes at big airports, which contracts are finished and not in use for a moment. The only thing to handle this planes is to look for contracts AI or player contracts, if they can offer an airport not in use, with sufficient contract slots, or sell planes. The most of these actions are associated with financel losses of Wollars, because you have to pay for AI contracts or if you sell a plane you get only about 80% of the value of the aircraft. With one of thes feature suggestion it would be possible to handle this kind of planes much faster (instead of cancell contract, sell, later buy again, choose livery, choose seat configuration,…) and we could safe a lot of Wollars at the affected airports.
