Other – An adjustment of handling time based on the jet bridge type available for aircraft parked at a stand
What is your suggestion?
First of all, I would like to say World of Airports is an incredible game with astounding realism and the developers do a fantastic job to implement new features while keeping the integrity of the game. That being said I am proposing a small and simple change to help add some realism:
I propose to have the time of handling of an aircraft change based on the number of jet bridges available to connect to the plane at the stand it is parked at. For example and A380 at a stand with triple jet bridge would take less time to handle than an A380 at a stand with only a double jet bridge.
This could be done specifically by increasing the time to deplane the passengers and then board the next flight when there is fewer available jet bridges. This helps to improve realism as in real life it takes longer to deplane and aircraft with fewer exits for PAX. Basically the more jet bridges available to an aircraft (especially for the larger aircraft) the less time it would take to handle them.
How would it work in the game?
This would work in game by increasing specifically the boarding and deplaning phases of handling an aircraft while it is parked. The more jet bridges at a stand and connected to an aircraft, the quicker the passengers can exit and therefore the time it takes decreases.
Why is this a good idea?
This brings a little more realism to the game with passenger movement time fluctuating in real life based on the number of jet bridges. It is also just something fun to add to the game and also prioritize the rare three jet bridge stands to take slightly less time to handle the compatible aircraft.
