What is your suggestion?
My suggestion is to create a few more opportunities for players to obtain retro aircraft using the existing Event Contract system. For example, on the anniversary of United Airlines introducing its first 747-100, a retro livery appears as a special event contract instead of ending after one completion, it can be completed 3–5 times.
After the final completion, the event expires as usual. This could work similarly to the Qatar Airways special arrival event shown in the photo. This would give retro aircraft a few more opportunities to appear without making them permanently available.
How would it work in the game?
The system could use the existing Event Contract system, so no major new mechanic would be necessary.
A historical anniversary date is selected, such as the anniversary of an airline introducing a certain aircraft.
On that date, a special retro aircraft contract becomes available for a limited time. Unlike normal event contracts, the same contract could be completed up to 2~5 times.
After completing all contracts, the event expires permanently. The aircraft livery would not become permanently available, so its limited status would still be preserved.
Why is this a good idea?
This can attract more players who prefer retro aircraft, boost game engagement and long-term retention, and simultaneously generate new revenue streams. While the current trend focuses on operating modern aircraft fleets and securing AI contracts, paying this level of attention to retro aircraft would satisfy both groups of users—those who prefer modern fleets and those who favor retro models. I offer this suggestion because I believe it is a way to achieve great results without requiring the significant time and budget associated with a massive update.
