What is your suggestion?
Add a direct “Upload Player Log” (or “Submit Bug Report”) button inside the in-game Settings menu or Main Menu (e.g., near the version tag). When clicked, this feature packages local game logs (Unity console logs, basic device specs, current game state) and sends them directly to the dev team’s backend or support channel.
How would it work in the game?
Entry Point: A simple “Upload Log” button placed in the Settings window (or on the main startup screen next to the version number).User Flow: When players encounter a issue (e.g., stuck ground handling vehicle, UI freeze, or unexpected crash), they can tap the button.
Data Package: The client automatically gathers the local Player.log / console output along with non-sensitive system info (Device Model, OS, Game Version, active Airport ID).
Feedback: A lightweight confirmation pop-up shows: “Log uploaded successfully! Ticket ID: #XXXX”, allowing players to reference this ID when contacting support on Discord or Forum.
Why is this a good idea?
Streamlined Bug Hunting for Devs: Eliminates vague user reports like “my handling is stuck”. Devs can inspect precise stack traces and exact code exceptions immediately.Zero Friction for Non-Community Players (The 90% Silent Majority): Over 90% of players do not use Discord, Forums, or Email support. When encountering a game-breaking bug, they won’t switch apps to write an email—they just uninstall. A 1-click in-game button gives them a zero-friction channel to report issues without leaving the game.
Overcoming Language & Description Barriers: A huge portion of global players aren’t fluent in English to describe complex state-machine or handling bugs. Automated log submissions bypass all language barriers entirely.
Built-in Anti-Spam & Offline Protection:
Anti-Spam: Can easily use rate-limiting (e.g., max 3 uploads per day, or only enabled after an actual client error is logged).
Offline Support: Unity local logs (Player.log) are saved on-device and can automatically queue for upload upon the next successful connection/launch if Wi-Fi drops.
Low Risk & Decoupled: This is a pure wrapper/support feature that requires zero changes to core simulation or scheduler logic, ensuring 100% stability while greatly boosting support efficiency.
