After the recent introduction of dynamic shadows, the gameβs graphics took a major leap in quality, with objects on the ground as detailed as ever. Therefore, the current set of weather and skyboxes could be improved in the same way, adding the same graphic-quality leap, but now for everything above ground, affecting the gameβs overall mood.
How would it work in the game?
Explain how this would be implemented from a gameplay or UI perspective.
There are several adjustments that could be made:
- Brighter and wider sky colour palette
- More dynamic clouds creation
- METAR updated cloud types as an addition to the weather
Why is this a good idea?
What improvement would this bring? Better usability, realism, fun factor, accessibility?
As well as changes to shadows, this addition can bring a major positive update to the gameβs graphics, gameplay pleasure and overall mood without using too many resources.
