First, I am not a moderator nor an admin for this Forum. Consider me as a “concerned member”. With the rapid expansion of the Forum a lot of people are sharing their thoughts, suggestions, bugs and hang up’s. There is a saying in the English language (different strokes for different folks) which implies that people have different tastes, preferences, and ways of doing things. The Forum has accomodated these folk’es strokes from the very beginning with respect for it’s members.
I have seen the nice environment from the earlier years occasionally turned into “opinion battlegrounds” where division is achieved where agreement is needed. The official Mods and Admins do their best to keep things civil and focussed on the main reason for having the Forum: chatting about what we all have in common here, the GAME WOA.
I want to direct your attention to the build in “personal moderation” function in the Forum where you can decide for yourself to mute or ignore posts from Forum members. This means you can “tune out” contributions from people. Not seeing information that might offend or iritate you and not responding to it helps in keeping the community clear on it’s objective.
The function can be activated by selecting the forumname of the poster you wish to mute or ignore, then click the profile photo. The options are presented then and look like this:
