Founded in 2002, Air Paradise International was an Indonesian airline based in Denpasar, Bali, with its main competitor being Garuda Indonesia for routes to Denpasar. Starting operations in February 2003 using A300s, A310s, and leased 737-800s with services to Perth from Denpasar and later beginning services to Osaka from Denpasar in December 2004.In 2005, following a terrorist attack in October which resulted in low demand for travel to Denpasar, Air Paradise International suspended all services in December that same year and in June 2006, there were negotiations to recapitalize the airline. However, 3 years later, after ceasing operations in November 2008, Air Paradise filed for bankruptcy after failing to re-launch operations.
