Qatar Airways has retired its passenger Airbus A330 fleet after operating 45 aircraft, comprising 29 A330-200s and 16 A330-300s since 2002. The carrier also offers A330 pilots voluntary short-term secondments to RwandAir, which acquired an ex-Qatar A330 earlier in 2026.

In a social media post (Instagram post), Alaska Airlines showcases the new suites that will feature on its B737 MAX 10 aircraft.
This is part of a much larger set of announcements made on investor day today. Here are some of the highlights:
Air Astana will launch nonstop service between Astana and Bangkok on Dec. 11. Flights will operate 2X-weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays using Airbus A321LR aircraft. The new route will complement Air Astana’s existing daily service between Almaty and Bangkok, providing the airline with 9X-weekly flights to the Thai capital. The Astana-Bangkok flight will take about 7 hr. 50 min., with the return sector scheduled at approximately 8 hr. 30 min.
Genuinely so excited to see service on the Max 10 from Portland to Europe! Gonna be a long flight for a Narrowbody though haha
Max ten will only be for transcon. Can’t come close to tatl lol
Looks like I looked at the ad wrong haha, I thought the bit at the end of the video showing the routes from different airports was going to Europe, but turns out I’m blind, its just the east coast. Feel a bit dumb after this one ![]()
All good! They have been hinting at PDX getting 787 routes in future, and the 787 mx base being built there might further hint that way.
Pegasus Officially Acquires Smartwings
The Turkish group finalizes the acquisition of Smartwings Group and Czech Airlines for €154 million.
More than 175 aircraft combined
140 aircraft on firm order
Smartwings and Czech Airlines retain their brands.
With this transaction, Pegasus expands its presence in Central Europe and significantly strengthens its footprint in the European market.
Yeah, I’ve heard about that, too. One can hope ![]()
The Market is there for it though, especially to Asia. Back in the 90s when PDX was delta’s west coast hub, there were very popular flights from PDX to ICN, HND, FUK, BKK, TPE, and even NGO. It would not surprise me if we saw a PDX-ICN and/or a PDX-HND on the 787s.
Klm yesterday received the a350-900 ph-zna. Today it fly amsterdam stavanger (training from crew with plane)
