Due to the challenging operating environment triggered by the ongoing geopolitical tensions, IndiGo today announced that it will discontinue its wide-body operations effective 25 October 2026 and conclude its damp lease agreement with Norse Atlantic Airways effective 31 October 2026. IndiGo flights between Mumbai and Amsterdam will be transitioned to be operated using its Airbus A321XLR, effective 25 October 2026. The airline will temporarily discontinue its services to and from London Heathrow until such time that its A350-900s are delivered.
Let’s hope this won’t be the end of Norse.

Worried it could be Norse’s end soon, hope they succeed but low cost long haul from Europe-North America just doesn’t seem to work for some reason.
I really don’t want them to end service, I really like there livery lol, They also seem like a really nice airline (low-cost but hey canadas aviation is full of low cost so I have some things to compare them to)

So it appears AirBaltic is not doing to well. Back in April, Ryanair’s boss said that AirBaltic and Wizz Air might not survive the winter due to the ongoing scuffle in the sandbox that doesn’t seem set to end unless Trump sacrifices everything and I doubt he’d get away with that. Wizz Air hit back as did AirBaltic but as of mid-July, AirBaltic was looking for funds to help pay off debts the airline as they’re risking a default and potential collapse. Well the meeting was supposed to be today and not enough of the bondholders turned up to the meeting so it’s been postponed. If they can’t manage to get a short term deal to pay off the debt, it could be the end of the road.

So this is kind of out of the blue, but Boeing and the FAA have certified the 737 MAX 7! This is a massive step forward for the aircraft, and is just days after the MAX 10 completed its final certification flight (but not certification itself)

Seating 135–160 passengers with a 3,800-nautical-mile range, the aircraft’s certification enables deliveries to launch customer Southwest Airlines.

Already?? Dang that was way faster then I expected and not to start a controversy or anything and this is MY opinion but the A220 is… interesting from the outside, from what I’ve seen in videos Is the A220 looks very nice but I haven’t been on one so I can’t really say anything haha
The engines are a pain to get parts for atm, its why airBaltic’s fleet is being so heavily used for Swiss’ operations (Does make me wonder why airBaltic has so many CS300’s and whether they’ve binned a ton of routes or not). The -100’s will be ripped apart to allow the -300’s to operate. Seems a pity as the -100’s were sourced to replace the RJ100’s so will they end up dropping some of those routes? Time will tell.
Been on an Air France one last month and found them noisier on the ground than the A320s but other than that comfortable, 2-3 seating too.
I am curious why only Swiss seems to be having such a bad time they’ve contracted in a whole other airline to run flights for them. Air France, ITA, airBaltic themselves, Delta and others don’t seem to be having trouble, unless they have alternatives?

A220s are definitely louder when flying overhead than E190s, but they are incredibly nice from passenger side is what I’ve heard
