A special livery promoting Italy after Ryanair “boom” in Italian Destination, it add to the classic ryanair livery the italian flag and the write “Arrivederci Italia”.

Why should this livery be added?
The words “Arrivederci Italia” appeared on the fuselage of some Boeing 737-800s. Although the term “Arrivederci” may sound like a farewell, in Ryanair’s marketing it was used with a warm and informal meaning: an invitation to fly to Europe with the promise of returning soon.

This simple livery would add a bit more realism and variety in the Ryanair livery Family.

It does. And it wasn’t to greet Italy. It was to take a jab at Alitalia, like they did at EasyJet with Bye Bye EasyJet and at Lufthansa with Bye Bye Latehansa.

No, it was applied in the 2000s as Ryanair started setting up bases in Italy and competing on routes. As BelGoFly mentioned, they did a few to their competitors though Lufthansa sort of won against Ryanair as their expansion there didn’t go to plan.
