Big results in little forum!!

Screenshot results have been collated and the winners have been found. So a big round of applause to everyone who took part and of course, to the winners with some genuinely fabulous screenshots. Hope to see some more creativity with our next competition which I will be announcing in a post below !!!

So in third place we have @W_O_A with their big and small quadjets photo from above (A helicopter view of the airfield),

In second place we have the former screenshot competition organiser @horsepowergeek with a collection of big, small and old,

And drum roll please… the winner is… @Shockeyplays with a whopping 18 votes for their stunning photo of a KLM 747-400 on finals into St Maarten in the golden hour,

Rewards will be sorted as per the above message by @ukplanespotter757 when he’s not feeling so under the weather. And remember to provide him with your In-game names!! But I hope you all enjoyed taking part and a few honourable mentions that I (These are ones I liked haha) thought deserve a spot at the bottom here,

@StJohnsplanespotter with a stunning frontal shot of one of Virgin’s lady’s on finals,

@Jakob1’s photo of a Turkish A343 just about touching down with Wunala Dreaming awaiting takeoff clearance,

@UniqueGolem3982’s Comet double trouble double times with double (Help!) at INN

@Kory’s Braniff B747SP blasting out of Zurich,

@Tanman with the same capture but from the rear of the airfield,

And @AirMo’s Atlas Air B748F departing Zurich at a rather scary angle,

Again, thank you all so much for jumping in and partaking in the competition. Like I say, I’ll shortly throw up a post for the next month and you’ll be surprised at what we’re going with

Surprise Surprise Cilla Black GIF - Surprise surprise Cilla black Surprise - Discover & Share GIFs

It might be spooky month but rather than spooky images, we’ve instead decided on something else related, that being old and gone/ghost airlines/types. So it’s spooky in a way!!

Now the reason for this is due to Lufthansa’s A340-600 being retired on the 18th of this month after its final flights to Dulles and JFK and back to Frankfurt so why not celebrate types and airlines gone by, like ghosts (See how we’ve done it ).

So yeah, theme is old planes and old airlines (Bonus points for them being together ofc) and if you can make the image SpOoKy then extra bonus pats on the back from me. Competition closes on October 31st.

The rewards;

1st Place - 6 Gold Planes

2nd Place - 4 Gold Planes

3rd Place - 2 Gold Planes

So lets goooo!!

2026 marks 20 years since the F-14 Tomcat’s retirement from Service. I still wish I coulda seen one fly, but I came after that time. *Cue sad song from a specific 80s’ movie*
