HKG is a heck of a cargo hub though! I’d say the equivalent of ANC for North America and LEJ for Europe. Though SIN would be a similar hub for passenger travel, so I hope it’s still in the cards down the road!

I don’t think it will be impossible. I think the distance is fair enough and the two airports are different in many ways.

Yeah, I thought of LHR to IST, HKG to BKK, etc. It’s definitely possible, but the more airports in the SE Asia region, the less likely it is for SIN to come out soon. I really wonder why the developers chose HKG. Even SIN has more votes, though. Perhaps at the time they started to make HKG, it was in second place instead of third? But even then, Beijing was in first.

Maybe in the future, SIN will be released. It marks one of the major airports in the South Asia region, with 4 terminals and 2 runways.

The main thing is that a fifth terminal is coming in the 2030s, so there will be many opportunities to expand.

I totally understand why some of our Singaporean friends might feel disappointed about SIN not being the next addition – it’s truly one of the world’s most amazing passenger hubs!
That said, from a gameplay perspective, it’s interesting to note that while there are already several major passenger hubs in the game, there’s currently only one dedicated cargo hub: LEJ. When it comes to air freight, it’s hard to think of another airport that rivals Hong Kong (HKG). It’s been a global leader in cargo traffic for years and would add a really unique dynamic to the game!
Also, let’s be real – with so many incredible airports around the world, the developers can’t possibly include everyone that players want. Everyone would love to see their local airport make the cut, but choices have to be made based on a mix of factors.
Even though this isn’t my hometown airport either - As a fellow Southeast Asian, I’m actually pretty thrilled to see the developers paying more attention to our region. We got BKK last year, and now HKG is coming – these are airports so many of us are familiar with and have traveled through. It feels like our part of the world is getting some well-deserved recognition, and that’s something to be happy about!

You are very correct! It’s not that I don’t like HKG - it’s also one of my favorites. Even as an American, I’m rooting for SIN. Hopefully it will come soon, but I’m mostly worried about the distribution of airports - so many are in the Southeast Asian region now, so I’m a bit concerned about SIN.

Only 2, possibly 3 if they stick to their plan of adding an Indonesian airport in the near future, so definitely still space for SIN in the long term!
