Why should this livery be added?
Skymark Airlines was established in 1996 and was the first low-cost airline in Japan and operated in this vein until in 2010 it decided to transfer to being a premium service airline and ordered 7 A330-300s on lease to operate on domestic routes in Japan. 5 were delivered and operated between 2014 and 2015 when they were returned due to the airlines collapse. When the airline was taken over and started its road to recovery, the A330-300 was not taken on again. It would be a nice addition for Asian operations and NGO as another aircraft type that could visit.
They ordered 4 with options for 2 more, when they went bankrupt, Emirates took on 3 but the other 3 sat in long term storage for years until ANA took them on. It’s sad how many operators never took on the A380s they ordered.
They did order A380, four plus two options, cancelling the orders in 2014 due to poor financial results. As far as I know, it was never officially explicitly confirmed that ANA took over the Skymark orders, but given their sudden unexpected order of three followed by Airbus’ vote in favor of ANA’s Skymark restructuring plan it’s more than likely.
