Stand Preference of Delivery Manager

Could someone please explain to me exactly what the “Stand Preference” setting in the Delivery Manager automation means or does?
I haven’t been able to notice any difference whether I enable or disable it.

The landing order in the Approach Manager is clear enough. But what effect does the “Stand Preference” have if I enable that as well—and potentially select a different order there than the one specified in the landing order?

Does no one have any ideas about this? I’m still struggling to notice any difference regardless of whether I enable or disable it

Is there really no one who can help a bewildered person and shed some light on the matter?

That button activates the size order under it. When it’s off, the delivery manager ignores the plane’s size category. When it’s on, it assigns the planes according to the category in the specified order.

Thanks for your reply.
So that means, if I have—for example—one empty A-B gate and one empty A-C gate, would it always direct a B-class aircraft exclusively to the A-B gate upon activation and would not use the A-C Gate? So, if I enable this feature, it always utilizes the smallest possible gate?

Not exactly, it would also use the larger stand as long as there is no C plane waiting (provided you have put C above B in the list). The delivery manager will still use all available stands, but when choosing a plane to assign to the stand, it will take its size into account.

Ah, okay. Now I understand (I think). Thank you very much.
