[UI] - Plane Notifications

:placard: Title Format (required):
Start your topic title with a relevant prefix.
Accepted prefixes:

  • UI – for user interface suggestions
  • ATC – for aircraft control and movement features
  • Economy – for changes to income, payouts, or cost structures
  • Cargo – for anything related to cargo operations
  • Multiplayer – for co-op, competitive, or social features
  • Other – for anything not covered by the above (e.g. tutorials, accessibility, languages)

:bullseye: What is your suggestion?
Clearly describe your idea or the change you’re proposing.

My suggestion is to add pop-up notifications in the game where when not playing, it would pop up and tell you when a certain plane is back at your airport. You can set them per plane and it would allow for easier handling of certain planes because you know they are back and can be handled.

:hammer_and_wrench: How would it work in the game?
Explain how this would be implemented from a gameplay or UI perspective.

There would be a button inside the plane UI (which tab I’m not sure) that would look something like “Landing Notification”. Click that button and you would then get a notification when it arrives back

:balance_scale: Why is this a good idea?
What improvement would this bring? Better usability, realism, fun factor, accessibility?

This feature would allow better handling of multiplayer contracts especially. It is hard to know when the other person sends the plane back to you unless they message you, and this would allow us to know the second the plane arrives back so it can be handled again

:camera_with_flash: Optional: Image or reference
Attach anything that helps visualize or support your idea.

This actually used to be in the game back in 1.0, don’t know why they removed it.

I’d like to see this implemented if you could pick planes that will send you a notification, not every plane.

I’m wondering if instead of toggling notifications per plane, if we could just get some master switches in the settings as first and last plane en route to an airport, or first and last plane on a player connection, etc.

Yeah that’s what I meant. If I didn’t explain that well
