What is your suggestion?
I suggest changing the display format of the stand selection panel for arriving aircraft.
How would it work in the game?
Currently, there are two ways to assign a stand:
- Click directly on the desired stand on the map.
- Scroll through a horizontal panel with all stands listed
The second method is inconvenient, especially in large airports where scrolling to find the right stand takes time. My suggestion is to redesign the panel:
- Make it vertical, with stands listed top to bottom.
- The panel can either have a fixed size or expand with a swipe-up gesture.
- It can still appear at the bottom, but now in a vertical scrolling format.
- To help players understand the aircraft category each stand is unlocked for, a letter is shown next to the stand number. This letter reflects the currently unlocked category. For example, if the stand supports up to F but the player has unlocked only E, it will display E.
This would make stand assignment quicker and more comfortable.
Why is this a good idea?
It improves usability, particularly in large airports with dozens of stands. The horizontal scroll is inefficient. A vertical list makes finding a stand faster and smoother.
