Vitoria Airport (ICAO: LEVT / IATA: VIT)

:globe_showing_europe_africa: Location (City, Country)
Vitoria-Gasteiz, Basque Country, Spain

:chart_increasing: Airport Type & Size
Small airport for local & regional operations with a long runway and a DHL logistics centre. 4th biggest in Spain for cargo volume. The airport has one terminal with 3 gates, 7 check-in counters and 16 stands for medium and light aircraft.

Runways 04/22 are 11,483ft/3,500m in length

:vertical_traffic_light: Why should this airport be added to World of Airports?
It’s a DHL hub with them having plans to build a maintenance hanger there, has a long runway that can accommodate 747-400s happily with the cargo facilities to match, as well as taking A380s and 747-8s. Also allows for regional passenger flights so players could operate their own Spanish regional airline or big cargo venture to compete with DHL. Can also take large passenger aircraft but they park at the cargo stands.

AN225,

:airplane_departure: Major Airlines & Routes
DHL, Swiftair, Ryanair, Volotea.

2018,

Previously Air Nostrum served the airport, 2015,

2012 (Privilege Style operated a couple of E145s for Air Europa),

Also, it is situated fairly close to Bilbao so could conceivably use its destinations list to run the airport if a player so wanted to.

:world_map: Unique Features or Challenges
Unique control tower, full set of taxiways and ability to handle all freighter types. Could make a LEJ style airport in Spain.
