So basically some planes on the WoApedia only spawn during certain times of the year?

That is the general idea on when the events of certain liveries and airlines come up so yes. But most times they just come at a certain time when the devs have placed them on their schedule. The devs dont add every airplane or event manually. I think they have a system that implements that so they dont have to manually do it every time.

XLRs are great profit and range-wise, but I’d say get all the 737s before the remodel, that will save you quite a few GPs :slightly_smiling_face:

So I’m looking to buy a B737 variant for my fleet as my main Narrowbody, as I have been wanting to for a while. However, I’m kinda torn on what I want to do. Should I buy the 737-800 or the 737 MAX 8, OR, should I wait for the 737-900 and MAX 9 to be added, and buy one of them. I only want to operate one, MAYBE two variants of the 737, so I want to make sure I get the variant I like. I’m inclined to buy one of the -800 models because they are cheaper right now, but I personally like the -900 model better, I just don’t know if it’s gonna be justifiable for the 20+ Golden plane increase.

  • Buy the 737-800 (B738)
  • Buy the 737 MAX 8 (B38M)
  • Wait for and buy the 737-900 (B739)
  • Wait for and buy the 737 MAX 9 (B39M)
  • Wait and buy another variant (reply)

How about max 10? (Even that will take forever to get certified :joy:)

Maybe, we will see how it looks in game. I do already have the B752, which the B3XM will be rather similar to in terms of capacity.

I’d say get the -800 now as it’s cheap, has a similar range to the MAX when run full economy which is where the silver is at, (don’t know why) and is cheaper in every way to the MAX to the point that the slightly extra capacity just really doesn’t matter lol. Obviously the range with the full business class is an extra 1000 miles, but for spending an extra 25 grand per unit I personally didn’t find it useful so I only ever really fly the B738 or just jump up to the B752.

This is just too hard of a poll haha… if you were to get a 737 series that is currently in game, then I’d probably lean towards the Max 8 just due to the extra range providing some extra usability compared to the 738 (and it has slightly better capacity, which with the way demand scales in this game is quite useful for me – currently “optimizing” by maximizing the number of passengers I can transfer per route without flying planes larger than the demand).

Beyond that… buy the planes you like. It’s more fun. And without any idea of how the devs will implement their economy, its just too hard to guess which one will be the most useful for different players.

Thanks for the input. Yeah all the models are great, it is hard to decide. I did end up buying the MAX 8, looks nice and to be honest I don’t care at all about economics and all that, I just care which planes look cool haha

How about we guess what airport Charlie is (or maybe not) attempting to hint all the days…

I really want it to be Yellowknife, but to stay true to real life they would need to make literal dozens of new aircraft types to get it to how it should be. Out of these options, is is most likely Calgary or Anchorage.

Vancouver for me

I really think the hint with the northern lights tail of First Air’s 732 was about Yellowknife, however I don’t think it will be the very next airport but rather the second in line, based on what Charlie said right above that picture:

I think they would want to do YZF justice with Dakota or C-54/DC-4, thus it would take more time and there will be another airport before (around Christmas/New Year’s), with YZF maybe coming in the Q2 of 2027.

Obviously these are all just my personal guesses and assumptions and have nothing to do with actual game development plans.

For me, I would feel that YZF would be a big let down. I am a realistic player, though probably a minority in the game. I do agree that it would be cool to see all the older planes doing their little Canadian hops to remote places but as for normal airline contracts, it is lacking quite a bit. Some might say it’s similar to CNN, which is fine, but at least CNN had international contracts to many destinations.

I feel that they could still add all these cool liveries and old planes to the game even if it was another bigger airport, such as YVR or YYC (for me personally I would prefer YVR as it has better links to Asia/ Europe and a more diverse international contract selection for us realistic players). Those liveries and planes could still be contracts for those who want them or events.

Just wanted to get it off my chest, let’s hear from you guys!
