We (well, I am, Hiro failed miserably already) are trying to avoid mentioning said airport to avoid boring fellow forum users, although it’s easier said than done.
Well, I guess therea nothing much we can do now except hope it was picked next(or ANC/HNL). Ever since candian airports have been brought up, this has jumped from 6th in north American airports all the way to 2nd, so hopefully it also climbed in preference among the devs.
Also about this, but air transat actually used to have a hub at YVR before covid, offering widebody flights across canada, central america, and europe al well

Ah snaz, I knew I could get Air North in Toronto and the such but only found about Air Transat at Vancouver yesterday so seems the devs are happy with Canadian airlines being across the country which is great. It’s why the likes of PAL are feasible which I think is good because no matter what Canadian airport we get, and this extends to other countries, you’d miss out on some locals that might be a players favourite.

Must admit, YVR would be my first choice for another North American airport, as it’s got a nice mix of airlines, a nice mix of aircraft types plus further spaces out connections (which aren’t really short 30 minute round trips as well).
I also realise I said wrong end for Zoom. Actually Zoom operated across the country so just need that little hopeful push to give us them blue 757’s and 767’s. Half way through Anchorage and got distracted doing Mallorca haha.
Same here, and not just because I’m canadian. Something that not many people dont talk about is the sheer amount of regional widebody routes. Since canada is such a large country, many domestic flights are four to eight hours long. Its not uncommon to find flights from YVR to YYZ, YYC or YUL being operated with an a330, a 787, or even a 777! There are also routes to major cities in the US like LAX, SFO or LAS that have been recorded using widebodies as well, with the latter having been operated on the breifly un-retired air canada 767 within the past year.
It’s very interesting like when I was leaving for Newfoundland a 777-200 parked next to us from Vancouver and it’s a very interesting thing in Canada

Just randomly chirping on here and throw in my 2 cents on this boosted thread lol (let’s garner more votes! 
), but YVR is my number one airport I’m banking for for the next new airport. Broadly zooming out of the WoA game map, the PNW part of North America is definitely “missing” an airport. After HKG last year, my mind is like okay, no more new mega-hubs in Asia for WoA development for the rest of this year (I’m banking on SIN for the next Asia hub, I’d say 2027, fingers crossed). After ZRH this Summer, my mind is like okay, no more European airports for the rest of this year lol (I’m banking on AMS for the next European airport though, I’d say 2027 too hehe, fingers crossed).
My hedge on a PNW North America airport is YVR or (and/or lol) ANC. YVR is perfect to add to the mix in this world. It’s a good medium airport, great mix of airlines for PAX and Cargo. I’ve visited Vancouver before as I have relatives there and the airport grounds and vicinity are beautiful and scenic. Outside of the remodel(s) for the current list of airports (i.e. PRG), my top 5 airports I’m wanting to be added in this game are YVR, ANC, DPS, JNB, and PTY. Guess we’ll see what happens! 
YVR would be cool. Personally I would be very surprised if SIN made it, but who knows.
Well thats 150 votes guys! I know votes aren’t everything, but I’m glad that this amazing airport is finally getting the recognition it deserves, especially considering the fact that when @charlie first brought up the possibility of a canadian airport a few weeks ago, it only had around 100. Now it’s only 7 votes away from being the most voted North American airport!(still would be happy with first place though, which is ANC lol)

Likewise regarding SIN. I think another Asian airport will be Indonesia, South Korea or potentially Haneda but that last bit might be a pipe dream. Could also be Central Asia or India though but I’m betting on the former.

Oh yea definitely agree, and agree with Hiro with Indonesia. Although I’m banking on SIN as the next Asia mega-hub, I’m leaning on DPS as the next Asian airport. Single runway challenge, gorgeous scenery and layout (flew there 2 years ago and definitely you should choose the right-hand window seats for that beautiful final approach), and a good medium size airport for the overall WoA mix.
i actually said this in the discord, but i actually think megahubs in asia (SIN especially) shouldn’t be added anytime soon
would something like SIN bring something new to the game? yes of course, and it does have a lot of backing, but in that general region we already have BKK and HKG, the latter of which is very similar to SIN both in layout and plans (see SIN’s Terminal 5, which is basically akin to HKG’s Terminal 2)
but to avoid turning this into “SIN discussion” though, i also think that either this or ANC are my personal favorites (roughly tied with eachother tbh lol), both of which have equally strong cases to me; for YVR’s case, it would be the first canadian airport and would be in a generally new region, having much to offer in terms of airlines, such as Central Mountain Air - and even aircraft too, as YVR has seaplanes, and the scenery around the airport looks pretty stunning too
it’d generally be a nice and refreshing airport after seeing a lot of europe/asia for a while lol
