i didnt even get the gist until i saw someone say GRU and i thought “why are people talkin about gru from minions” then i saw this and i said heck yeah.
if you look on FlightRadar24 you can see that
runway 09R is used for landings
runway 10L is used for take offs
also… I am seeing Turkish airlines, Air Canada travelled from Buenos Airs to Sao Paulo??? Is this like shared airlines?
i also have counted i could be wrong, 95 PAX stands counting at least 6 shared And quite possibly 9 cargo stands to the far east.
Terminal 1 only domestic
terminal 2 mostly domestic and few International to SA countries
terminal 3 only International
Already discovered some of those flights making the contracts list. A lot of flights like Air Canada, Turkish, etc. use GRU as a fuel stop to Buenos Aires.
Full layout of the airport were getting
So excited but how do you guys think the taxiways and runways will work?
i kinda think the main 10L runway will only be used just from what we have seen from previous times and airports
Hopefully how I see it on Flightradar.
This airport has live footage
Looks like a mirrored SAN that grew an extra runway
Minions:The Rise of GRU
Hehe very funny
Does anyone know how many Golden Planes there will be in Guarulhos?
Only the devs know that
They’ve evolved to include crossing runways, as was the case in 4 of the last 5 airports/remodels (LHR, BKK, MSY, IAD remodel). I would say it’s a safe assumption at this point that both runways will be included.
Considering there are plenty of L/X gates I won’t say it would be as terrible as SAN. But I do suspect it would be another MCT (with the earlier version of runway operation). And therefore I felt GIG is a better option than GRU for a Brazilian airport…
GIG would be more preferred at least for me, and I still don’t plan to buy GRU. It does provide a nice place aircraft from IAD, MSY, and SAN. I’m also excited to say how the scenery will look cause in my opinion Sau Paulo is a really beautiful place
Hopefully SYD as well.
GRU is the largest/most important Brazilian/Latin American airport, it has many international flights and connects the entire country as well. GIG, on the other hand, is not as “important” as GRU.
Ooh and you forgot Saint Maarten. Which should be a M with A321LR and A321XLR if we get that at some point.
It’s only 2600 nm between GRU and SXM, so that should be an excellent connection for most M planes already in the game!
GRU to SYD is 8138 miles i think what i remember when i last searched it up.
