Hi everyone, I’ve decided to cap the number of received contracts at 40. SXM is quite a small airport to work within the constraints of, and it’s already taking me longer than I want to do a single play session on the airport. I can provide handling to your aircraft at my other hubs, which are PRG and SCL, and to a lesser extent GRU, MCT and IAD. I will also continue to send planes from my SXM, which will become the main purpose of this post from now on. Speaking of sending planes, my backlog is finally diminishing, so new orders will likely come quicker than before.

Hi everyone,

I haven’t had much time to play SXM lately and that’s mostly because it just takes too long.

It’s become a lot more than the small, quiet, scenic airport that SXM is supposed to be, and that’s probably because I have over 90 connections here. It sometimes takes me over 3 hours per play session just to handle player connections alone, and that’s not an amount of time that I have or want to spend on a single airport.

As you could already probably tell, I’m not a very consistent player at SXM, which I think is a shame because it is a really nice and picturesque airport. But given that I still have 7 other airports to manage at this point, a change is needed.

First of all, I will once again be reducing the number of inbound connections to 30, which means I might have to cancel some connections to do that. SXM is not an airport where I’m providing fast and reliable turnarounds. If you’re looking for that, then I can’t help you here. Optimistically, I’ll get to play the airport 2-3 times per week as opposed to daily (PRG) or almost-daily (SCL, MCT…) activity at my other hubs.

I’ll also cut back on my SXM fleet and renewing outbound connections to a lesser extent.

I guess I’ll see if that solves my problems and I’ll get back to you later.
