Is there any news on which airport will come after PRG? As much as I love BRI (it is my favourite), NGO could really do with a makeover and the new runway modelling in. I am really looking forward to the PRG remodel with the correct stands. I hope to spend many hours there.
I think maybe Charlie or someone else said they have not decided whatâs next after PRG.
I see. Iâm just being a bit of a cheeky individual ![]()
This was said by Kuba
But I also wonder if there will be a focus on missing destinations and airlines as well
IAD SAN or NGO hopefullyâ![]()
I hope so. Hoping we get 3 new destinations with European Cargo considering all 3 of their bases arenât in game yet, so maybe itâll come as a nice batch.
Totally agree with your listâŚexact in this sequence!!!
Hi Charlie, I want to ask, the video that the developer uploaded on YouTube is it testing for the next update?
Testing what?
I think heâs talking about the video with the Alaska 787
IAD doesnât really need a remodel in my opinion, ngo and San need it more
I disagree for the following reasons:
-
IAD is missing stands in the regional gates (A1-A6), though with the E-concourse slated to open in November, I donât know if those will continue to be used until construction on the expanded A concourse begins.
-
We are missing wide body stands on what is currently called concourse C/D. We are also missing B stands on concourse C/D, which is where United Express International Flights often land as the walk out stands are too my knowledge not equipped to send people to passport control.
-
We are missing narrow body stands / overlapping stands on concourse A/B.
-
Once concourse E opens, we will be missing that as well.
So there are quite a few issues with this airport that would be nice to address.
Iâm unsure how reasonable the most recent master plan approved by the USDOT is cost wise since United has balked in the past at increased cost per passenger to fund construction costs, and some analysis have the cost per passenger tripling without extreme subsidization from the US government. Because of that Iâm not sure it its worth expanding IAD to some degree of the future master plan, and instead just doing updates and expansions as they come (by the time we have an idea of where IAD will actually go, weâll probably need to update it for GA, etc).
Completely agree that IAD needs a rework and I remember it arrived before MSY (which introduced shared/overlapping stands) so it was a pity that the concourse and remote stands configurations were still not in correspondent with IRL config. And the new concourse is available so I feel it should arrive sometime. I am happy to wait until the new concourse be in use so we can get some real-life data. I think devs are aware of everything but rework can take some time, especially when they say they want to achieve the standard of the INN rework for all upcoming airports.
That is true, the A346 has a different Horizontal Trim then the classic A330/A340. So I hope they still adjust that ![]()
Did you ever played IAD and know how it looks and is operated in real life??? it might dont matter to you, but that IAD needs a rework cause its the most unrealic airport in WOA is without questionâŚ
I donât know SAN (with the grossly incorrect placement of the entire cargo terminal) gives it a run for its money too. Itâs a shame the three US airports all have so many issues with missing stands, incorrect placements, etc.
I dont know exactly about SAN, cause i heard of its massive issues too i didnt even unlock it yet to wait for its remodel
⌠its 1 of just 2 airports i never played because of that and im very curious about that, would love to play it.
Also, when they update SAN, I hope they replace the current T1 with the new one(and add the unfinished parts too)
agreed. The updated T1 and T2 will be so nice even though I will miss SANâs more unique shape compared to other WoA Airports. Iâm sure thereâs another airport with that style of terminal we can add somewhere though!
SAN needs the new parallel taxiway and the extended takeoff location to ensure the airport functions well. The biggest issue for now is that it cannot hold too many planes for the takeoff cue and make the most efficient landing, and it gets stuck and locks itself.
