I think the PRG update was exclusively cosmetic. As far as I recall it was the new terminal model and that was it. It also may have come back when planes were classified S/M/L/X… so a remodel even if it only touches the runway switching and updates some stand classes so we have more places to park 757s / etc, is definitely due in my mind.
I remember vaguely a PRG model update ( May 2021 ?) with the new tank farm.

It’s also the Devs home airport so I think they have the right to exercise some executive privilege and give it as much love as they’d like. I would do the same for my home airport. Looking forward to all the updates whatever they may be.

Hm, this B74S looks really funny

I guess that’s because it’s essentially a shrunken B747 — it keeps the large wings and distinctive 747 proportions, but with a much shorter fuselage. The result is an aircraft that looks a bit unusual compared to the more familiar 747 variants.
Still, it has its own charm, and seeing these rare variants come to life is part of what makes aviation history so interesting. ![]()

This little man will be populating so many of my airports. SP is the coolest 747. Not my favourite that goes to the -300 but he’s the coolest. Love the paint job as well haha.
I want to point out the insane detail on the ground though, the crispness of the lines and markings is something I don’t think we’ve seen before and will really make plane spotting even greater.
Out of spite they might hold it back for you asking lmao.
This is probably my favourite variant of the 747.

Wait, isn’t the 74S supposed to have a smaller upper upper deck(like the -100 and -200) too or is the Mandela effect just kicking in for me right now…

Same deck length as a -100/-200 roundabouts. Fuselage had chunks ripped out but 747 snozz was always the same. Always gives it that shrunken feeling haha

The million-dollar question is, will we have regular contracts with airlines for the older 747 variants, or will they only be for events? That’s my question.

I believe we should. Iran Air operated theirs into the 2010s so they definitely will show up. It’d be a question for Charlie though regarding any others.
Also to add, freighters. 747-200 freighters are still in our skies but very rare now however during the early 2010s they were very common so I hope we see a good bunch. Will really make cargo stands feel more varied.
The question remains whether they’re doing this arbitrarily (whichever way they feel like) or based on urgency.
I would guess the current order was based on the size of the airports since it correlated with the passenger count required to unlock the next airport. And regarding the remodel order, BRI did get a remodel first out of the three airports back in 2.1 so it’s not as urgent
