General Pre-Release Discussion

Excellent! Looking forward to the 737s! Are you going to release them in categories like the classics for one category, and the NG & MAX series for a separate release?

Would be neat to have the NGs and the MAXs released together, maybe even first…

Been saving up my money to buy the 737s at KSAN & IAD!

didn’t notice that aircraft has some unique variant like DHC6 viking/twin otter

Hi, does anyone know if the special liveries for the A380-800 will increase in price or will they remain the same? After its remodeling?

Normally the prices of planes and liveries increase when updated from v2 to v3. The concorde is 1 exception

Any idea if the A380 will have more polygons as it develops? Currently, the released picture has a pretty obvious angle in the fuselage compared to any other model due to the large size.

The aircraft is simply huge, and its fuselage diameter is much larger than most others. Since we use a fixed 32-segment (2×16) fuselage across all aircraft, this model naturally makes the polygon edges slightly more noticeable. In normal gameplay, you should only be able to spot this when zooming in very closely from certain angles. We also use Auto Smooth, which makes the surface appear much smoother, but in rare cases you may still notice the faceted shape visible in the screenshot.

Will the remodeled A380 get additional special liveries?

Hello! :waving_hand:

May I ask if we know in which continent could be the next airport :world_map: …

…and the E.T.A. of Alliances to the game :handshake: ?

Thank you! :purple_heart:

L410 Development Update :airplane:

Another milestone in the L410 production workflow has been completed.

Honza has finished creating what we internally call the base livery. Although we refer to it as the “base livery,” it is technically the topmost texture layer applied during the texturing process.

The complete texture stack currently looks like this:

  • Material

  • Ambient Occlusion

  • Airline Livery

  • Dirt & Weathering

  • Base Livery

The base livery contains all the permanent details that are common to every aircraft, regardless of the airline. This includes:

  • Cockpit and cabin windows

  • Access panels

  • Rivets

  • Maintenance markings

  • Warning labels

  • Manufacturer-applied stickers and stencils

It is one of the most time-consuming stages of aircraft production because every small detail needs to be positioned and aligned manually.

The next step is to rig all the moving parts and create the aircraft animations—landing gear, flaps, control surfaces, propellers, doors, and other animated components.

Once the animation work is complete, Honza can finally begin painting the individual airline liveries.

As always, thank you for following our development journey. We’re getting closer with every step! :slightly_smiling_face:

It looks stunning, definitely the best looking yet with the sheer amount of detail. Honza really has a gift. Looking forward to seeing it.

On that occasion, we had the opportunity to visit the aircraft manufacturing facility in Kunovice and gain a unique behind-the-scenes look at the production process.

Someone on Dornier play WoA and got inspired by our custom livery?

Thank you for giving us a glimpse into the process of creating a new model and explaining the individual steps. It makes us appreciate your work even more!
It would be really nice to see how a livery is created. Maybe a time-lapse video for your YouTube channel?

Maybe even with a timer (stopwatch). I think that would reduce the number of questions like, “When is the 737 finally coming?”

Hmm, reminds me of the premium 2 livery, but arent the triangles usually on the back of the fuselage? I guess they got early or access to parametric liveries before the rest of us :joy:

Didnt you obtain blue prints from the Manufacturer during your visit to recreate in game? Though visiting a LET410 factory is nice to recreate in game. :+1:
