General Pre-Release Discussion

Believe me! I am one who is against massive mega hubs and large airports, I am not against small airports but a medium sized airport is pretty nice but small airports I am not fussed about because I like small aircraft and such. To add Innsbruck is 11 stands total not including the 4 D sized stands that cut across 3 1/2 stands each. That I would say is a pretty decent small airport. Then we have SXM which has 24 stands, which is a Somewhat small airport. I do agree we need to taste an airport that is same size as BRI or CNN or SXM, Then we have the smallish to tiny airport the size of 15 stands total. So I am not against airports like these that are these sizes but in a stance how large is the air travel and traffic to and from YZF?

I think I might have to disgree with you. Developers do sometimes collaborate with others in seeing what works in each others ideas. So in hindsight I do believe that if the WOA Developers were to look into A380, B777, A350 and airport redesigns they probably might have a good idea with what they could do to improve their own games from their perspective on what other people are doing with their games and say, “This looks pretty good, thanks for showing us this”. Developers do like to communicate with others and ask for advice and constructive critizism. So if the WOA devs like the post it can lead to what you said they are supporting each other but they could also be taking in the ideas to use for this game as well. My thoughts by the way.

Yes, they may be in contact and exchange ideas, but I was referring more to the fact that I don’t think they pay a company and buy models from them (airport or airplane). Or that they allow others to integrate their models into WOA. That they seek opinions and ideas and get help with technical solutions—yes, but to me, that’s not a „partnership“.

I see your point. I did not realise you were referring it to partnership and I would agree that their owuldnt be partnership but collaboration in seeing each others ideas. “they pay a company and buy models from them (airport or airplane)”. I would think that if they were to do any sort of stuff with money it would be buying copywrites from others to retrieve them files. For example if I were to buy a 3D module to 3D print something I need to buy the copywrites. (only costed me $8 for a certain aircraft)

Is it just me or did anybody else notice the tilted landing gears and new flap animations in the Emirates 77W Orange expo speedrun in MCT? There also may or may not be a remodeled a380 sitting at one of the gates there, or I’m just getting my hopes up, or I’m tweaking, with the latter being more probable

It would be so good if they reposition the strobe lights too, it would basically be good as new!

Gear I can definitely see, flaps wouldn’t know lol. A380, not sure too far away.

Sliding doors? I thought it would be like on the 757, pull doors instead of slide doors

Is this a hint again Charlie? Northern Air Cargo with home base in ANC.

If that’s a hint it’s getting REALLY hard to see anything other than ANC given that the NAC 732s (as that appears to be) wouldn’t make sense anywhere else… but it’s so hard to imagine them going all in with seaplanes and everything by December. Would be a shame to miss that if it is ANC. If only we’d get a dev blog
