but if you think about the distance that aircraft has to travel , lets say IAD/LHR to HKG its veryyyyy long meanwhile i could do maybe 5-12 flights within the asia region. its a lot faster to get to level 10 contract.

now multiply that with hourly local contract, you grow pretty fast.

i’ve only played since it launched, and maybe 4 days of break, and now im at level 84 lol with 0 player contracts

Here’s my HKG ops as of 5 hrs ago.

And while using only minimum required crew for each flight. Total crew available 299

Oh gosh you are doing so good.

Here is where I am now and it’s Lv 60. I never meant to play in a very carefully calculated style and I don’t have plent of time playing this game. But yeah you can progress super fast at HKG even w/o player contracts.

However, I think those people were talking about to get to max level in 3 days or so. That could be another story, I cannot image how to achieve this using only airline contracts.

WOW 465 crew! That’s amazing for level 60.
I usually just let it play on its own, since we have so much silver airplane, I just active all automatic services while I do my thing, then maybe every 30 mins when new airplanes are parked I assign all aircraft with the required crews, then back to doing my own thing

I bought all stands (at least A/D) and several extra ground crews.

Normally I work with the game on the second screen I have, focusing on the first screen (just check if there are new planes in to be handled).

First, it is out of my expectation that Hong Kong International Airport can be designed in such a short period of time before the first announcement early this year. The background illustration and painting are fantastic, where not only the details of different aircraft types were well painted, but also the Comac group is introduced into the game with the publication of HKG.

However, there are a few issues with the gameplay associated with HKG, hope the design group can address these issues in the later updates.

  1. Runway Operation is very awkward. In the actual case, the airport usually operates in this way: 07L is used for landing only on both T1 and T2 passenger aircraft, and 07R for mainly departure and cargo aircraft landing purposes. 07C is used to coordinate the aircraft load for 07L and 07R for landing and departure. Therefore, 07C should not handle too much volume of aircraft traffic that is not reflected in the situation in the game. Hence, I hope that the design team can assign some of the passenger aircraft parking space from the T1 region to use 07L for landing instead of 07C. Similarly, terminate the departure ability for 07L and assign all T2 and some T1 parking spaces to aircraft to use 07R for departure. In this way, the space in the airport can be much better utilized than now, and the operational efficiency of HKG airport in the game can be hugely improved, where the player’s game experience can be much improved.

  2. The designed parking space in the game is too small for two E/F aircraft to park in adjacent parking spaces; the wingtips overlap one another when two E /F aircraft are parked in the adjacent parking spaces.

  3. In the real case, for many domestic flights in China, like Beijing, Shanghai, or Chengdu, Wide-body aircraft are used for carrying passengers, which is not reflected in the game for HKG. Hope we can expect the Wide-body aircraft contract to be introduced for domestic flights in China for HKG.

Thank you so much and happy 2026.

I’ve made a post about improvements that could be made to HKG operations. HKG Ops

To comment on your point 1, you’re thinking about current operation. We need to think ahead into the future where T2 is completed. At that point I’m sure all three runways would be used simultaneously. Just like in the real world you could have ILS simultaneous parallel independent/depended approach

Point 3 we would just have to wait for the dev team.

Is it just me or are there no stars in HKG?

Yea. No stars for me either haha

I reached Level 81. My strategy is more or less balanced. In the beginning, I concentrated more on cargo contracts to level up quicker, while establishing player contracts as well. I was saving around 11 bonus planes from previous airports. I quickly put them into action.

In order to support the devs, I also paid and bought real gold planes to convert them into wollars to buy more international contracts (mostly B744F and B744BCF). While buying international contracts at an early stage, I also burned around 300000 silver planes. But now as I level up faster with many planes, my silver planes are increasing fast, too. Then especially after reaching international status, I started buying Cathay Pacific passenger contracts from around the world, to add realism.

As I earned wollars, I also used this strategy where I bought every gate with A level (2000 wollars each) to earn one handler and one contract slot. This helped me unlock all gates and maximum handlers. After that I increased gates to E or F depending on my money.

I like your strategy actually pretty close to mine, saving GP, SP and planes for the next airport and then rock it! Although for sure you do it quicker as i’m ‘only’ on lvl 60 still.

I had a good amount of time that I could devote to the game in the last week, that helped me, too.

Same. I used 100 GP at the start to convert cash for gates and regional contracts at the beginning. Not too costly but not too little ROI

Most likely saving on the background cogs work load

Actually not. It’s more efficient to use normal contracts so you don’t need to swap back and forth between accounts. You would also struggle to complete those in just 3-4 days.

Happy new year all in China and Oceania and middle Asia

Would expect some stars, but they would have to be the brightest in the sky due to the large amounts of light pollution that Hong Kong itself emits so it is mostly accurate

This is the new terminal at Hong Kong Airport that we filmed today. It’s almost complete.

So cool! Looks like they just need to add jet bridges! I wish the devs could allow us to build the Hong Kong new terminal in two segments instead of three because right now, only half is being built in real life. It would be good for realism

Did you fly to Hong Kong just to take that photo, haha, (joke)
