Nobody knows what the next airport is yet, we had a new airport arrive completely unexpected only a couple of days ago. May I remind people that this thread is specifically to discuss MSY, and MSY only. Not any other airport.

It’s a great designed airport and plenty of stands. Would be nice if both runways could be used for landing & takeoff.

I remember before the leak for the new airport was a buffalo running, any idea how this relates to new Orleans or is it hinting at something else

It wasn’t for new Orleans, the airport has nothing to do with Buffalo, there’s no way that’s what it was hinting

I’m wondering if MSY was the something special that was mentioned in the last Q&A, it came out of nowhere with no hints about it, and I can’t think about anything else it could have been other than the 767 (but it was obvious it was coming at some point).
On top of MSY itself you have the shared stands which have been requested a fair few times before (especially following LHR), so I’m wondering if MSY was developed as a testbed for that system going forward, and therefore making up the something special?

Does anyone know what runway is used for takeoffs from the North terminal? Do any of them cross runway 11 and depart on runway 2? I don’t want to waste unlocking the North terminal if it’s just going to be one runway for both takeoffs and landings. At least the South terminal most gates depart from runway 2.

Because msy is pretty much just a slightly better san so it’s been there done that but it’s still nice to have it considering we were supposed to get it 4 years ago

North majorly departs from Runway 2, except for L/X or the shared stands and the leftmost part adjacent to the shared stands

It mostly is just because it was so close to christmas and many are in the exam season
By the way, MSY was a good airport to max in 4 days, better than SYD just because of IAD’s closer distance making it suitable for player contracts
