Eco Aviation 2025 Plans!

Yesterday at the Eco show in Shannon the CEO has announced a mindmap of the future of 2025, the biggest being Bangkok being a focus city which will commence this January, they make it clear that if there Regional network from BKK is a success as well as some of there InterCity flight then another Hub will be open at New Orleans however no time date or information has been released, Rumors have suggested that it could be Mid to Late 2025.

Another big one is that, they are planning to make older aircraft more sustainable, recently Eco Aviation has bought a lot of A300 passenger aircraft (mainly from Housepower Air) that are supposed to be going to scrap but they save them, however people complain about the bad seats, outdated Toilets, dimmly lit lights and aircraft being from the 80s that’s why over the past year Eco Aviation and Airbus teamed up to refurbish the aircraft with there mockup already presented last year which was a huge success, it includes new seats, new LED lights as well as mood lighting, new screens, new toilets, new LCD screens on the overhead panel and FAP (Forward attendant panel) and new overhead bins, these are made from Recycled materials from old aircraft that are scraped and making them look like brand new, calling them the A300-600EC (Economics) a prototype has already been tested and certified and the first refurbished A300 should be ready by March or April 2025 and the entire A300 fleet should be refurbished by Early 2027, however it’s not designed to last forever only for another 15-20 years before they are completely withdrawn. If it is a success then they will do it on there 737 classic and 757s. Only time will tell.
Another sustainable process is they are now using recycled materials for seats, carpet, wall panels, curtains and others as well as using 100% SAF on all of there flights. As well as that they proposed a new aircraft in there fleet which is the 737Max however this did cause criticism.
It’s seems like this year is a big one.

MithFly Australia Inaugurates first major route - SYD-MEL/ First MithFly A319 Neo seen in testing at Toulouse, Sydney-Nadi route discontinued

January 10th, 2025 marked a memorable occasion as MithFly offically inaugurated the first flight to Melbourne after a month of flight testing. VH-M3C, An Airbus A320-216 ran the first flight into Melbourne as MK5, departing Sydney at 10:58am from Runway 34R and landing in Melbourne at about 12:17pm at Runway 34. The aircraft then continued back to Sydney as MK8 landing by 4:00pm in Sydney.

As a result of the inauguration of this new contract, VH-M3A, which has been solely running the Sydney-Canberra route for a few months, will now be rostered on flights to Melbourne as well along with VH-M3B and VH-M3C, which will also have a chance to be rostered on flights to Canberra.

VH-M3D and VH-M3E have also recently commenced flight testing between Sydney and Brisbane before the official changed date of launch of the route, now launching on the 24th of January.

VH-M3F will also commence its ferry flight into Australia on the 15th of January to be reserved for relief support for the flight routes in case of aircraft issues during flight.

Airbus A320 deliveries will continue in order to enable testing on the new Perth , which will inaugurated in Mid-February.

The first international routes for the Airbus A320 will be inaugurated later in 2025.

In other news, MithFly’s first Airbus A319 Neo has been seen in flight testing at Toulouse. This will mark another milestone in the fleet’s expansion. The aircraft, VH-M6A, will start its delivery flight to Australia in late January, starting domestic operations to major cities until the end of February when the A319 Neo will start testing on regional routes, the first to Hervey Bay, which will be inaugurated in April.

MithFly has also decided to discontinue the Sydney-Nadi route due to a lack of patronage, the last flight, operated by the Airbus A318-112(VH-JAL), coming back from grounding, landed at Sydney last night. The Airbus A318 has been ferried to the domestic terminal where it will soon start flying to major cities and regional towns and operate extra flights on days of higher demand.

MithFly has also made some widebody jet orders. The first jet, an Airbus A330-203, is now on its ferry flight to Australia from Marana Airpark in the US. The aircraft is expected to land in Australia soon and will be rostered on daily flights to Bangkok, connecting with other players.
