Orange Air starts “Familiarisation Flights” to Hong Kong area.

With the upcoming HKG airport waiting in the wings, Orange Air is sending 12 airplanes daily from MCT to airports in the Hong Kong area. When connections become possible these planes are immediately available for contract exchanges.

“This move strenghtens the commitment of Orange Air to stay a reliable partner for existing and new Airlines” the CEO said at the little ceremony at MCT.

DM Airlines leases 787s in preparation for Hong Kong flights

Prague-based carrier DM Airlines is rapidly growing its fleet operating out of Bangkok, with tens of mainly Boeing 737s and Embraer E2s based at the airport. It is expected that the airline will launch its highly expected service to Hong Kong (HKG) around Christmas, but the exact date is not yet known. However, it seems like it is getting closer with DM Airlines having acquired 2 leased Boeing 787s (one -8 and one -9), which are supposed to be operating some of the flights, alongside other aircraft types already in the fleet. Here’s the first 787 that arrived, registered HS-XNR, next to one of DM Airlines’ 777s, which are also anticipated to be used on some of the HKG flights

Yesterday at PRG, a British Airways A350-1041 had a near wingtip collision with a Korean B777-361ER. The CEO of the airport was shocked, as this had never happened before, and was only just narrowly avoided. The wingtips came within 40cm (15.75in) of each other, and would have cost millions to fix if the planes had hit. The CEO of Prague Vaclav Havel stated that appropriate measures would be taken to have planes park properly.

Sonic airlines news: @nomansland airlines, Why the white?

Pic 1: picture of an @nomansland airlines 787-800 at PRG being turned around to head for BKK in the fog.

Hello! Welcome to the very first article of Sonic airlines news, here I will provide you my airlines news, AND stories from me! Enjoy!

Most recently I have been bewildered by @nomansland airlines “Show white” planes,(More pacifically the 787-800s) and it seems like all of the 787s look this way. If you go deeper, it seems like there airline colors are white, blue, and black. And I have seen a pic in IAD showing what the livery is supposed to look like, (Located in pic 2). Most likely they can’t afford livery’s for there 787-800s. I get it, GP, am sure it cost a lot.

Pic 2: Image of an Jjet airlines 737-800 being deiced at IAD along with several other Aircraft also being deiced, this Image was downloaded from the screenshot competition. (Not an actual @nomansland airliner BUT the colors match) Originally shot by @Jamesonplanes .

Thanks for reading!

I like to think of them as leased planes, as those sometimes don’t get fully repainted either - actually they’re just level rewards that I don’t have unlocked at all :slightly_smiling_face:

If by “all” you mean the two other 787-9 level rewards as well, then yes, but I don’t have any other ones.

Just a little inaccuracy, it’s blue, red and white - as seen on my 777 a couple posts up

It’s just that right now, we have better things to spend money on, but - liveries will be applied across the entire 787 fleet in early 2026 (that’s when I’ll actually unlock it and get more of them :slightly_smiling_face:)

I’d be surprised if anyone could identify it as I’m not even sure myself  It does look like it could be mine though

:double_exclamation_mark: 7even 5ive Event Cancelled :double_exclamation_mark:

Introduction

On October 24th 2019 I started World Of Airports some hours after it became available from Google Play. This means that on December 24th I enter the 75th month of playing this great game.

This I want to celebrate with a personal event where I send 16 BCS3 planes in a special livery to the 8 airports that are within reach of MCT, my current hub. The airports are LHR, INN, LEJ, PRG, BRI, CNN, BKK and HKG.

The planes are send out as “blind dates” and can be accepted as a “Random” contract at your airport.

Event gifts and surprise

The event has several gifts and a surprise for players who participate by accepting the contracts I offer. The gifts are:

Invitation to a special DM based Mini Forum (“7even5ive Event”) exclusively for players who are receiving the event planes. When all planes are “contracted” you are part of a small community with 16 other players on 9 different airports. Imagine the possibilities of contract exchange between them. I offer this because of other commitments I can not accept “returning” offers from you. But I hope that this Mini Forum compensates that enough by providing other connection opportunities.

In the 74 months of playing I have developed some concepts for gameplay which I also shall share with you in the Mini Forum. And, the Mini Forum can be used for exchanging other information between participating players.

I also offer you a unique document named “Once Apron A Time”. This is a compilation of funny WOA stories I wrote the last couple of years in the “Player News” thread on the Forum.

The third gift is a surprise which I reveal only to the players who participate in this event. I can say it is something very special and made possible by active participation of the Devs! I am very grateful that they spontaneously offered their support when I presented this Event plan.

How to “enroll”

Select “Generate” in the “Random player arrival” pane in the Contract Offers window. When my special BCS3 Event plane appears, “Accept” it.

Send me a DM from this Forum with your IGN, the airport you are playing and the Aircraft Registration.

You are added then to the Mini Forum and further informed about the gifts.

Upon return of your “claimed” airplane, a contract for that plane is offered to you.

(For practical reasons I can only respond to DM’s sent from this Forum!)

I hope to hear from you soon!
