Requests for future updates/content

Hi,

  • I would like the ability to restart individual airports and develop from scratch
  • Ability to change the gate even after landing
  • Start the airport on a meadow and gradually improve
  • the ability to assign a fixed gate so I don’t have to look for a free one every time I land

I would like (but that’s for another game) not to control the handlers, but to manage the airport:

  • Arrivals and departures according to the flight schedule (that’s not really necessary)
  • Change the route to the gate
  • Ability to stop the plane
  • Make sure they don’t collide at the airport
  • Manage the operation of the airport, not the work of the employees

Fully agree with you @Krankenwart. It’s indeed frustrating the WoA forum and seeing 46 new posts with mainly requests for the umptieth Pokémon or Hello Kitty livery, liveries that are already in WoA or requests for a new livery because someone believes it’s a different shade of a color.

Hard to spot the actual interesting topics nowadays. Isn’t there a way one can filter certain topics from the ‘new’ or ‘latest’ overview :wink:

I agree with you that I am bothered by the recent miscellaneous postings. Personally, I think the airports that would be worth adding are PER, IST.

Besides that, it would be great if the game could accommodate as many different types of play as feasible.

I understand that the pursuit of reality is paramount.If things hadn’t changed since the v1 era, we would be tired of this game with its emphasis on large planes.

Specifically, we hope that the generic airports that will be implemented in the future will be able to freely choose their location from the airports that are pinned in the future.
Inevitably, the popularity is concentrated on large airports and aircraft of category E and above, so it is unlikely that familiar local airports will become playable.
To balance the game, for example, requires a cost A 5gp B 10gp C 15gp… for each gate unlock.
I’m calculating higher because it’s some kind of end content.
By the way, I’d like to create an OMA(not show the pin) in this condition.

My recommendation is to make a limit for how much people can suggest in a day, maybe 3-5 items?

Yeah, some of the airports suggested are similar or 5 minutes walk away from one in game, doesn’t make much sense to me to add, let alone bother suggesting. I understand a lot of people have a local airport that they like and would like to run but it’s not feasible. My nearest 2 airports to where I live are MAN and LPL. Would love to see MAN as I believe it is very unique but LPL is generic and damn boring like half of the airports in the world. Plus, the sheer size of airports in the files, for the game to run some of them peoples phones would be better off as central heating, suggestions such as JFK and ORD are massively too large.

Livery wise, people need to pick and choose what they want. They take up a lot less space in the files and are much easier to do, but as you say the umpteenth similar version of a special livery for an airline which already has many suggested and implemented seems pointless. I like to pick and choose mine, hence the single EZY one I put up the other day, there are loads of cool ones EZY have done over the years but that was the most unique and the airline hasn’t yet got one. Would also like a filter :laughing:.

I totally agree that we should have some limitation on posting requests, especially for the one that are so similar to each other for the livery. Using AI to generate huge amount of contents is annoying. But for the airports, I do think post each of them is worth it, everyone have there own preference in airports. Sure that some airports are not playable, but they might be valuable in some people’s view. Since this is just a request, not forcing anyone to actually create all airports requested, seeing a lot of “never heard of” airports is not a bad thing. After all, the two demands of “not wanting all big airports” and “not wanting all boring small airports” are conflicting.

They don’t conflict. You can have both, easily, and we already do ingame

Totally agree. So we shouldn’t judge “boring” airports, because that’s what makes our game diverse. We should embrace airport suggestions from all over the world and let people see airports that may not be active on the international stage. Maybe due to various restrictions, not all of them can be included in the game, but I believe that discussing in the forum is the original intention of requesting this feature.

Maybe I need to do a post for Liverpool then :laughing:. I get what you mean, I feel airports which are unique, big or small, should be posted. Just some of the airports being suggested previously as per the OG post were either laughably big or small whereby the majority of phones would bake or you’d have a single aircraft coming in and out, or could be covered by an airport nearby with the same or even greater coverage. The one that stuck out to me were the amount of small East coast Australian airports around Sydney which could easily be mopped up by it such as Sunshine Bay.

But more to the point, submit airports that you care about, not just every single airport in Australia. That’s what was really annoying.

Markets very small. It’s just woa because UATC died. If you looked hard enough you could probably find a woa type of game on pc but idk

.A 7 second delay when the gear comes up like irl.
.A 5 second delay after push before taxi, in this sequence flaps should deploy and engines should start. Then taxxing should begin.
.Taxi lights being turned off during push, it’s illegal to do so irl as it blinds tug driver and ground crew.
.delayed handling, thread already active around this topic and i would really like devs to add this as it is an option that can be applied if the user wants.
.Air ambo helicopter, crew walk in and out of helicopter.
.sxm using closest taxiway during landing like irl a320-757.
. Ill come up with more when my mind isnt cloudy👍

Come to think of it, this whole topic started as a discussion on requests, but now it has evolved into its own mini request thread… Which is mildly amusing, and probably to be expected given the title

Can you speed up the takeoff? it takes a long time for the plane to start.
And best of all, if I could take off instead of aligning if the runway is clear.

First of all, this is not a feature request thread, post it in the feature requests section

The takeoff and landing speeds are as per reality (a percentage speed up and both landings and take offs have the same speed up percentage)
They are kept at the rate to exactly mimic reality while having a balanced gameplay

To your request of planes taking off directly if runway is clear, its nothow it happens in reality, IRL, we have line up command followed by cleared for take off commands

One way may be to have two options such as line up or line up and take off
This may be included in the runway and taxiway update where we will be able to select the taxi route and runway as well (and expecting wind factors too)

Another way to do it is simply to use the Departure Controller of ATC

Also note, pre 3.0, lineup and takeoff was together but removed to make it closer to reality

Actually ATC does have access to “immediate takeoff clearance” which allows the aircraft in question to directly taxi onto the runway and takeoff without stopping, so the request to have a direct takeoff if the runway is clear is in-line with real life.
