Wiki Update - May, June, July, August 2025

Hey folks! I want to establish a sort of monthly wiki recap, that just talks a bit about what we have done this past month and what we are hoping to do in the future. For this first update, I will cover the last four months, cause why not lol.

These last few months we had help from 7 contributors:

Wiki Directory

We established a directory for ease of reading and have also included a conventions page. This should make it easier for people to find what they are looking for and provides a template for consistency across the forum.

Aircraft

The last few months have really been mostly focused on aircraft. All but two pages in the category have been revised in the last two months or are completely new, and we have actually managed to complete every aircraft guide that is in the game. Much work remains to be done, but there is a page for everything now! Due to the extensive number of pages, I will be brief.

and just about everything else has been updated! As a sign of how much work has gone into them, the A320 family has almost 70 edits, most of which are quite major.

Another thing: we have tried to link each livery to a picture of that livery. With so many liveries in game, this takes a long time, and we are not close to being done. However, for many liveries the devs never posted the renders to the forum. Therefore, we created a channel for posting screenshots of them to be linked to.

New Pages

We created a decent number of other new pages outside of the aircraft category too. SCL received a page, and we added a page to game function discussing what will come in the future. In fact, just about everything in game function is new in the last few months, as is the category itself. Others include a history of WoA, the guide to Silver Planes, the player connections and aircraft FAQ, a stand purchasing guide, and a tutorial for changing your IGN.

We also added the BRI realistic flight routes, and compiled LHR into one guide with additional info and better ease of use.

Revisions

This one I’ll do in a brief changelog-style bit.

  • Updated the airport tier list for consistency with other pages, and to include SCL.
  • Minor tweaks to LHR tips.
  • Started moving away from hidden details and towards a more article-like thing where most text is easily visible without clicking.
  • Added a note to INN through NGO pages advising that they are out of date.
  • Updated all grammar on the PRG page.
  • What felt like constant changes to update history to stay current
  • Frequent updates to the future guide as more info became available.

What do we hope to do in September and beyond?

Well, there are a couple of big things. The airport pages for INN through NGO were last updated in 1.5, and IAD through SCL are seriously lacking depth. All the required content is there, but it doesn’t have enough information to really be helpful. So both of those are things we want to fix. The first steps have already been taken, updating PRG grammar and conventions, and I am now working on bringing the full PRG wiki up to 3.0 standards. Additionally, there are some issues with the aircraft pages, which can be viewed in the directory. Generally, we need to add consistency and detail to the tables.
