WOA is for everyone! That’s why you have access to many languishes in game. On the forums, the most spoken language is English, so we force everyone to use translators for the benefit of the majority.

That’s not true.
Not everyone here can speak English. I can speak English, but not nearly well enough to know and discuss all the vocabulary here in the forum. I also just wrote this with the translator.
English is simply the most spoken language in the world and the international language of aviation. It’s easier for the writer to translate than for the reader to translate every language.

I don’t know which smartphone you use, but with the iPhone I can translate the whole page (including every forum post) with 2 clicks. However, I don’t know if this works with every language

The English rule is for a few reasons.

  1. Consistency across all threads
  2. Even the devs are not native English speakers but they set the forum up that way to cover the largest spectrum
  3. To moderate this forum and the number of posts/threads within it, it is much easier for us to do so without having ourselves to put multiple threads through a translator.

There is never a perfect solution. If we allowed other languages, we would need moderators and time to be able to cover that and we have neither. I’m sorry if folks are upset by that, but there’s not much we can do and we very much appreciate all efforts by non-native speakers to write posts in English or translate them before they do.

I was actually surprised I haven’t bought the IAD pass yet, I played so much there prior to the release of LHR. I’d probably get it when BKK releases to get those transferrable planes.
