Honestly if I was Heathrow I am going to kick all airlines out and replace them with Eco 757s, a320s, A300s and A330s

They don’t use their hangar anymore, they now use the Ex Virgin hangar opposite the Boeing one. Also maintenance is done mainly at their Cardiff site. They rotate some of their B772 aircraft’s between LHR-LGW mainly G-Y ones. But they are getting on now nearly 20 years old wonder if they replace them at all.

Mate I can’t write as I’m busy but I’ll edit this later

Pretty generic question but the 737 or the A320?

I like both but prefer the A320 more.
The 737 is a great powerful aircraft (especially the 737-400, 500, 600 and 800 but there quality now is really starting to tarnished Boeing’s reputation for safety and just now wants money.
The A320 on the outer hand is pretty effective and the IAE engines sound absolutely amazing! It’s very safe, I don’t know a time where they had a failure but had a few crashes.
I personally flew both the 737 and A320 but prefer the A320 more for safety and comfort.

Can I have both plus add the Chinese built COMAC C919 as well  though I prefer the A321 then the A320, just shame not many airlines have brought the A319NEO.

The Airbus does more tricks as far as auto flight, but the 737 is just simpler and easier to get a flight done (it does what it’s told without a bunch of complicated button routines). I have to say as well, I recently did a turbulence study on all major commercial aircraft, and 737s were overall less sensitive to turbulence (smoother flight). The A320 wasn’t bad on the list, but the A321 was MUCH more sensitive and almost bottom of the list. Having flown many of both I can say it’s accurate. I do love me an A320 PTU bark though.

Depends really on the conditions of the day, as shown on Wednesday on the United flight that injured people and that was a 737.

Ok you blaming crap on Boeing again? United have had loads of incidents this year. It’s there maintenance. Not Boeing.

Both have been at fault a ton recently. That was ual tho.

What’s Turbulence gotta do with maintenance?

Oh yea :joy: my bad. Havnt really kept up with aviation this past week just assumed it was on the ground. Sorry

Possible because they then to have gears falling off or a Ryanair pilot on a United max managed to snap it’s gear

And? I’m just saying they probably use Ryanair pilots to snap United’s gear. :man_shrugging:

Spelling mistake: “Today”

Valid point :joy:

I think the problem Airbus had with the 319NEO was that the demand is constantly growing, which means that the 320NEO and 321NEO may have been preferred with their greater range and capacity.

Another problem for it is the A220/BCS3 (whatever you want to call it) has basically taken the role of the 319.
