World of Airports related polls

Polls are closed and the results are in (Can’t wait for the BBC May Elections coverage, edge of my seat :winking_face_with_tongue:),

Firstly, Thai to Melbourne was overwhelmingly the A346,

Secondly, Thai to Melbourne was close between the A333 and B789 but the A333 piqued it at the finish,

Thirdly, Thai to FRA was a massive win from the A380,

Fourthly, Thai to MUC was a big win for the B744,

Fifthly, the B77W got slightly ahead of the A359 and B744 just behind for the Copenhagen route,

Sixthly, the A346 just beat the A345 to Oslo (Though I’ll likely add it in if we see it in the remodel,

Finally, the A346 just beats out the rest for Osaka (Though if I have a spare contract going I might throw the second place A380 in too),

Thank you again for you participation and remember, you vote matters . Gentlemen, this is Democracy manifest

Should I buy the 900GP package and then purchase 100 handling crews in Lej?(My lej currently has 127 handling crews)

  • Yes
  • No

Maybe it’s better to wait and see a rework and there will be more ground staff.

My guess is they would not radically increase handling crew at LEJ specifically, Charlie believes that is one of the big challenges of LEJ.

I am not too sure but if reworked there would be many shared stands added to the airport (not referring to the starting number though). I guess you could see more than the previous SYD rework, like 50 or so (but less than BKK’s expected numbers). So I feel there is no need to buy 100 but still need to wait until a rework to know how many we should actually buy.

Not really WoA, but still a question regarding aviation

What side of the aircraft do you prefer sitting on?
  • Left side (Port)

For me it actually depend on the airport and the route, because I prefer to have a visual on the gate and the other plane while taxing

Yeah fair point, is always better to pass something cool. Love flying over London to land on 27R or 27L at LHR, 09R is okay as you land with terminals either side, 08L is the most boring approach and landing you’ll ever see, especially if you’re sitting on the left side of the aircraft lol.

I’m also in the “route dependent” camp, but its more to do with what is outside the plane in flight. I really like sitting on the side of the plane that is to the North on IcelandAir flights between Iceland and the USA/Canada because you get more unique views of Greenland and Northern Canada. I prefer the West side of the plane when flying up and down the eastern side of the Rockies from Denver. I prefer to the East side of the plane when flying up and down the Pacific coast. It’s more to do with the view, than the actual side of the plane.

Would have added another option for depending on the route, but can’t change a poll after 5 minutes :person_facepalming:

Essentially agree with CJ lol. Would add time of day (prefer not to have sun in my eyes).

Transatlantic, I prefer north side:

Down the west coast I prefer east side:

And on transcontinentals I have no preference:

That said, I feel there’s not a ton of difference, they are both gonna have epic views (or not, but not much you can do about that lol).

I like a window seat so whichever side I get. Obviously being able to see something cool is always a plus but I’m not made of money so I go where the algorithm places me. EZY’s is always relatively kind to me putting me in a window seat and normally perfectly placed to see the city I’m arriving at.
