Hi all,
It’s been a while… and to be honest I’ve not been playing a whole lot due to work and life pressure. I don’t like that feeling, but it is what it is.
I also found I wasn’t the worst offender on returning player aircraft thanks to that new system that tells you. Still 505 days on one of mine not exactly something to be proud of lol… or maybe I should be. Maybe I should create a leaderboard for it… but naming and shaming is not a game I like to play generally.
The Main purpose of this blog is to remind everyone of a few things and if you follow along it will help me and the staff on this site immensely to manage it more effective.

Keep politics off the site. We all have differing opinions of how the world does and should work. But save that for elsewhere. Not here. Even if the devs decide to proceed in a direction, that is their choice and while you might not like it. Their game their choice… leave the politics out of it.

Forum posting. I cannot believe I have to keep repeating myself, but for the love of all things WOA, be nice to each other. It’s very easy to be a keyboard warrior and say what you think. But an edit button on your tone and comments goes a long way….

Accounts - As part of #2, we as mods have a huge amount of leeway in terms of how we handle those who consistently cause issues. It can be as simple as a conversation or a 24 hour trip to the “penalty box” for minor infractions, but repeat offenders get longer and those who really go all out on a limb with attitudes and comments get a permanent ban. It’s rare but it does happen. However, if you are banned, know this. We also have tools to find out if you have created a second account and a different name. If you are found. You will also be banned. It’s that simple. So don’t get banned in the first place, then don’t double down and do it again.

Suggestion posts, as you can imagine we get a lot of these. But they are set up a certain way for a reason. To help the devs have a consistent receipt of information. Please make sure you a) follow those templates b) post suggestions in the right places and c) check to see if something has already been posted before you do.
Otherwise, I want to convey my thanks to the entire Wiki editing team who has done a fantastic job of updating that information. If you are interested in helping out. Please contact me or @ukplanespotter757 and we will work with the existing team to see if it’s a fit.
Finally thank you to the devs. If you are new to the game. I highly recommend checking out this thread to see just how far it has come since the early days
I know all of us appreciate what a game they have designed, built and implemented over the 6 years it’s been up and running. Saved me through COVID that’s for sure.
More soon, and I really do hope to be more active. But I thank the entire team and especially @ukplanespotter757 , who has done sterling work while I have been on my personal enforced absence.
