Well after today’s livery post, doubt that
Evereyone didnt think they would launch a new aireport or update on april 1st so like anything can happen because April fools is april 1st as you know and so it was a somewhat prank on us because we didnt think it would happen. also stop being so against the South african flag not being in any of the hints. The devs literally put an airport on april fools and so anything can liyterally happen. The devs may be keeping us in the dark and telling littlwe white lies for us to not think about it and then when it actually happens we will be suprised.
anything can happen, true. The argument being made here is more that the south african flag does not portend a south african airport, but is a placeholder. that does not rule out a south african airport, however.
It wouldn’t surprise me if JNB was the next airport for many of the reasons mentioned in this thread.
I think some other likely-ish candidates in the near-to-medium term are PVG or ANC, but probably not both, primarily because they’re both some of the busiest cargo airports in the world and we haven’t had a serious cargo focus in a minute, and they would provide a bit of balance for NGO (as well as Asia and/or North America respectively)
Well, while that is just a coincidence, there’s no proof of what the next airport is, it could be south Africa?

They should close these threads to prevent this senseless speculation on the forum. I don’t agree with the moderators on this occasion; they shouldn’t allow this kind of thing. And only allow what they’ve allowed up until now: meaningful posts, not this kind of speculation that confuses and misinforms, and, above all, goes against the developers. Because when an update comes out and doesn’t show what certain users say, many people turn against the developers. That’s my point of view. I don’t agree with this. They should close, delete, and ban this kind of posts.
Change of subject… it’s been 2 months since the last dev blog
Yes, and more than five months since the last dev chat which previously were every five months.
- It has been
- There was no backlash that I recall, and SA is closer anyway than syd to an ingame airport.
- Yes, but again so was South Africa
- …
Can you guys please stop saying the next airport is going to be Cape Town or Johannesburg ![]()
They used Cape Town in the 2.0 devblog as well, go check if you want
no one is saying that it WILL be, as far as i can see, but there is a decent chance it COULD be.
WoA can also simply provide information and clarity to its (paying) fans! Without these fans, WoA is nothing!
You really ought to come down mate, this seriously is getting on your nerves too much and its not that deep.
- It has been mention,
- If i remember correctly the comments to the developers about SYD were somwhat mixed with the location of how u can do player to player contracts and how it would be used. I also dont think there was tons of backlash for SYD getting placed into the game. Like people were a bit dissatisfied about the location, but they grew into it.
- I feel like South africa has been mentioned the same amount of times and possibly more than Cairo and those other airports.
- My dude using ai to prove a point is crazy!!!
I feel like they should stop this kind of hate because @Thatflyerguy has mentioned that its been 5 months since the last dev chat has been made. Honestly i dont think the speculation is that bad, only if it misinforms people or convincing people it will happen. I think most people should keep their hopes high on what not to expect for the next update. like MSY is the only airport nobody exepcted at all i think.
I do enjoy coming to this thread and watching everyone bashing each other over something which no one really knows. It’s a lot of fun to see the ‘I want, I want’ crowd shouting, amuses me. Dev’s if you see this, leave this thread open and amuse yourselves
.
this comment made me laugh,
I think a good philosophy to stick by is that nothing is ever confirmed unless directly confirmed, as in “ABC airport is coming next update.”
