3.4.1 New Destinations

Just to remind everyone speculating:

I highly doubt that this has changed that drastically since December though to where an African airport is imminent. Its still cool to have these destinations though - and if you are someone who sends your own fleet to non player airports or grabs lots of AI contracts, this is a great touch to allow more interaction with African destinations.

Tbh, if there’s no airport I’m totally fine with that! Honestly rather have more destinations to send my aircraft! (Be good to have some West Coast American destinations )

Thanks devs. I think this airports isn’t linked to next airport, right?

Which be why a Generic airport in Africa first be best option.

Personally, I’m not a fan of the way CNN was implemented as a generic airport. Generic model + generic taxi map just doesn’t do it for me… I’d maybe be more interested in a generic airport that is 2D only with realistic taxiways and stands but no model though…

It’s okay for what it is and they said if one is popular enough they will redo it as a complete airport though can’t see that being CNN.

Devs have stated that CNN has performed better than SCL so we may see a fully developed CNN (Just my speculation)

I am fine if they don’t do CNN rework since there are many airports to play with. But I would be very happy if they get a 1:1 CNN!

i want the devs to give us more CNN and BRI and INN type of airports. they are so more cooler to keep track of.

The only issue with that is that most players would complain about the airport being small, and it’d make nothing in terms of income in the grand scheme of things. The market is large airports, sadly

then why did CNN hit off better than SCL?

even if large airports are the market, they can still do smaller airports as those can be for players who want a chill game.

My guess is that it’s simple economics. CNN is 4 GP, SCL is 4x that or more. I do hope the devs go back to creating a variety of sizes though… big airport after big airport grows tiresome.

It’s an oddity, but from what I can tell the main reason is literally just that CNN is in India, which has a lot of people and those people really love the country. Scl I the other hand was a gift to a staff memeber and not really requested by anyone, leading its flop

anyone who complains is greedy point blank

Welcome to the modern world, that’s life for ya

True and giving them what they want won’t help the situation either

I will say the airport price argument never made sense to me. I don’t think many players would hesitate to spend 15 GP on scl, given the size of the airport. CNN being SO cheap is the only maybe case, but I think horsepower is probably right.

So sad to hear SCL is a flop. It’s genuinely up there as one of my top airports, maybe people don’t want to buy it and get fed up with GRU like I did . Only problem with SCL is the lack of LAN and some other local airlines. The incessant LATAM horde gets a bit much after a while.
